akcire, where did you get prints from Manny Hernandez? Are they as high priced as Thomas Kincade prints?
I have been buying them for 6 or 7 years. As a kid I was not allowed stuffed animals (we lived/moved in countries that could have huge bug infestations), I don't really wear t-shirts with images, and I try to keep my clutter to a minimum--these prints were my souvenirs.
I bought a couple at Disney in the parks, one or two from the Disney catalogue (remember those days), and a couple online. Retail price used to be about $250.00, now they are around $350; but honestly I have paid as little as $50 (unframed) or $100 (framed). I just like the way he draws the character's faces. Also all of the ones I have purchased framed have been done very well, and getting anything poster sized framed nicely is expensive. The framing is excellent quality and really "classes-up" the Disney theme--so I don't feel like I live in a college dorm room any longer.
I have 7 of them, there is an 8th one I just didn't like (and I really don't have the wall space anymore, I have a small house).
You can google them if you want to see them....some of the titles are:
The big 50 (
disneyland's 50 birthday)
Halfway Home (Motorcycle Roadtrip)
Arriving in Style (Sacramento Railroad theme)
The Happiest Street on Earth (Mainstreet DL)
A day at the studio (Disney Studios)
Friends in the woods (Winnie the Pooh)
Engine 55 (Tribute to Firemen)
Celebration (mainstreet WDW)
I have included a brief description of the prints
I also went to the Disney shopping website and they have a few on their site, may be easier to check out that way.
He used to go by Manny Hernandez, but he may also be listed as Manuel Hernandez on their site, we just really dig the happy character faces.
Good luck on your decorating.
