We are planning our 2nd WDW trip, but it will be our first time at FW.

I was curious. How early do people decorate at FW for Christmas? We are going to be there the week before Thanksgiving. Is that too early to see campsites/golf carts decorated for Christmas?

The week before Thanksgiving is not too early at all. The Christmas decorations start going up almost as soon as the Halloween ones come down!

Thank you. I wanted to make some things for our cabin/golf cart - but wasn't sure if it was too early for it to be Christmassy.

That makes me sooooooooo happy! We're going in early Nov this year instead of our usual early Dec (leaving before Thanksgiving) - getting all we can out of those annual passes - and the one thing that totally bummed me out was missing "Christmas" at the Fort. I guess I'll leave the Christmas decorations packed in the TT after all. :santa:

Gosh, I know I have been there a few days before Thanksgiving at the Fort and I certainly start putting my stuff up as soon as I get there, because everyone else already has their Christmas stuff out. Some of the sites look like they would have needed the entire month of Novemeber to get everything have up and decorated, so I bet you'll be in good company. ;)

It's a great time to be at the fort!

We'll be there the 21st-28th. Is there any kind of Thanksgiving Day feast anywhere? I'd rather not cook if I can avoid it....;)

They have them at the Fort, but they are PRICEY. I'll let someone who's attended answer more fully.

Thanks ya'll. I get more excited about our FW stay every day. :) My twins are excited at the idea of bunkbeds. :)

Here are a couple photos of the advertisements for the two Thanksgiving Day dining options at the Fort.

Note that the first option is held outside at the Fort Wilderness Pavilion. It includes a live band, dancing, characters, and beer and wine (which is why it is so much more expensive than the Trail's End option). Reservations are necessary for both of these options- they do fill up, notwithstanding the prices.
