Decorating Advice???

Hi,
I know some where i read that people take Christmas decorations to decorate their rooms for the holidays.....We will be there for Christmas day and my children are 5 and 12 so i would like to have a tree but what else do you bring to decorate???We are flying in so i don't want to carry to much but i would like the room to have a christmas feel....Do you bring a table top tree or a large tree that sits on the ground???

I was only at Disney once during Christmas and that's when I was a kid. We didn't have a tree but we were older than your kids. I can't imagine trying to pack either a table top or larger tree to take on a plane but that's just me. I did have an idea that I thought I'd share. What if you made a tree to take? You could cut the shape of a large tree out of a roll of plain paper. Have your kids paint it green and then paint decorations on it. All you would have to do is roll it up and bring it along with some tape to hang on a wall.

You could take some window clings to decorate the windows and mirrors. You could take a couple of strands of lights to hang around the room. Stockings would pack easily. I've even seen where you can get a small Christmas tree delivered from a florist. Or you could take a small table top (maybe fiber-optic) tree in a duffle bag and then leave it behind and use the bag for souvenirs.

I have heard of people making a walmart run once they were in FL and getting stuff to decorate their room. So if you have a car you might do that and then ship it back at the end of your trip.

I am bringing a table top Christmas Tree with ornaments & lights. Even though I will be packing in my luggage that will go on the plane, I can not imagine Christmas without a tree in my room. I am also bringing a small, unbreakable, nativity set. Stockings of course (hiding the fillers will be tough though) And because of this thread, I will also be bringing my window clings!
