Decorated castle?

Will the castle still be decorated in gold when I go the first week of October?

I've read several places that the celebration ends on September 30th but I haven't heard what happens to the castle after it's over.

I don't think they can clean the castle off that quick so there is a good chance it will still be that way. However there might be cranes and lifts in the area.

We took a KTTK Tour a few weeks ago, and our tour guide said that they will remove the cameo thing over the entrance, but the rest will remain. We'll see. I never know who to believe.

Are you referring to the 15 years birthday cake? That was gross! We hated it. I didn't even take a picture of the castle that year. LOL now I wish I had since it would be a good way to remember how NOT to dress up a castle.

It was 25 years not 15 years.

That would be nice ... I like everything EXCEPT the OVAL ON THE FRONT!!! LOVE all the characters and gold "swirls"!!! Very pretty!!

Oh No! So if we go the last week of Sept they will probably be working on the castle? Does anyone have a thought on how long it will take? I just love the castle - the plain castle. I'm hoping that it's either back to "normal" or just the way it is for our trip. I know, I'm selfish....

Since the celebration ends at the end of September, what youre most likely to see is it half-decorated, since they cant clean it off that quickly. I went right after the 25th celebration and the castle was half normal and half pink. It was a little disappointing cuase it looked so weird but in no way did it ruin my vacation! And in my opinion, Id like to have seen it, just to see what it looked like in person...

But anyways I think at least some will still be up, I think it takes awhile to clean up. It looks awesome.

EDIT: when I was there, there was no construction going on the castle during the park hours, in case anyone's worried about that.
