Decorated Campsites

We will be camping Nov. 20-30 in FW. Do folks decorate for Thanksgiving? Is it too early for Christmas?

Not too much for Thanksgiving. Not too early for Christmas, there will be quite a few at that time.

Three years ago we were in the cabins for the week of and after Thanksgiving and we saw plenty of people decorating cabins and campsites alike for Christmas celebrations. FWIW take some time to tour the Fort if that is hat you are interested in never know what might be up

Usually start Christmas decorations the first week of November.

Three years ago at the end of Nov., the camp sites within a 15 min walking of Trails end had amazing set ups. One person had a walk around Osbourne light type light display. Another person had models of the monorail and resorts. Another had about 25 of the lightup snowmen, santa, etc. Some weren't so grand, but still lovely. It must have been 30 -40 campsites involved. I loved it.

Last two yrs, not so much was set up. Maybe 1/4 of what it was. We were wondering if Disney had started some new rules. It just seemed odd to have such a major change.

Decorate for whatever season strikes your fancy. As long as you remain in the guidelines of the Fort (Safety as well as staying on your site, protecting nature, etc...) You might start the next trend. After all, November 20th, is National Absurdity Day and deserves it's recognition, right?

Let's not for get the Computer Security Day (Since I work in IT in Security) which is November 30th.

Live it up and just go nuts. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, MLK Day... Whatever. Your at the Fort, so just relax and enjoy it celebrating whatever you desire.

Michael I would suggest the whole process might go just a bit faster if you withhold the popcorn stings till after everything else has been put up
