Decluttering. Anyone else have to do it for a home sale?

We just did it....well part of it.

We actually wound up moving out of our house to sell it. With all of us, there is just tooo much.

What was funny was going through the junk drawers. (yes, I had more than one :rotfl: ) All the stuff I could not make a decision about was in these drawers....when I cleaned them out, I had to make so many decisions it made my brain hurt!

We are in the process of decluttering for a move down south. I am listing stuff on ebay and craiglist and all proceeds go toward our Disney passes for our next trip in December. As I earn enough, I am ordering one pass at a time. So far, I have purchased our MVMCP tickets, and one 5 day pass.
I was wondering if I should try and list stuff on ebay. I've almost become disenchanted with it with all of the businesses and stores on there now. I have made money on ebay in the past but not a windfall, just a few extra dollars.
I'm wondering though, what is Craiglist? Is it like ebay?

Moving on in my decluttering endeavor, I've cleaned out the cabinet that held all of our medicines in the kitchen. -- I know probably a weird place to keep them but I've always heard you shouldn't store medicine in the medicine cabinet. -- We could open a small drugstore. ;) Anyway, I was wondering where am I going to store all of the stuff that I need to live with even while staging/showing the house? So I thought about buying some underbed totes. You know the kind with wheels that slide easily out and under your bed? Well, I thought I could keep some of the stuff that we'll need frequently in one of those stowed away under the bed.
What have some of you done with the stuff that you didn't want to keep in the cabinets or drawers but yet you couldn't pack them all away in storage?

Oh my word! :faint: Head hurting, head hurting :headache:
I just got to two of my junk drawers. Some things were easy just to pitch into the trash. Other things I am just having a hard time with.
Like address labels. We get a ton of free ones (for a donation) from the Eastern Shore Paralyzed Vets. Do I keep them or throw some of them away? We use them all the time but the question is, do I need so many? :confused3 And, where do I store the ones I choose to keep?
Other things like a pedometer and the accompanying instructions/literature booklet? I think this is something I should keep but it's been in this drawer for almost a year. I've used it when I was walking and could use it again but right now it's just in the way! These are just two examples of the stuff that I could not make decisions about before. They can't go back into the drawer because we are getting rid of this piece of furniture. Oh so many decisions.
