So I just got off the phone with WDW since they no longer give you the option to decline Magic Bands via My Disney Experience. The agent was able to decline them on her end which I certainly appreciated. I have enough of the basic color bands and since they can't seem to get their IT house in order as far as allowing you to upgrade your bands (always seems like this is down) I would rather decline them.
I dialed (407) 939-4357 and kept telling the prompts about Magic Bands and they got me to the correct customer service group.
'RANT AHEAD' This all stemmed from a recent visit to WDW although this issue has happened many times previously. The bands rarely seem to open the resort room doors as it should. Then I must trek back to the front desk to try and get this issue resolved. I rather dislike being told by the front desk that I have "too many Magic Bands". So they want me to stop staying on property? Or perhaps stop purchasing Limited Edition Bands at a premium price? Yeah I didn't think so. Perhaps instead they should fix their IT issues so that the bands unlock your resort room door as it should.
