I just received an awesome quote for 2 category 10, connecting rooms. Only concern is that it is on Deck One.

Can anyone tell me the pro's/con's of staying on Deck One. We stayed on Deck two last year and enjoyed the location.

Thanks,

The biggest pro IMO would be that you wouldn't have to deal with the lines on the stairs to get off the ship in port. :)

Stayed on Deck 1 in Room 1030. No problems at all and would stay again.

Have a wonderful cruise.

We stayed on deck 1 one November (1034), and we loved it. Yes, it is true that the room's portholes are two smaller ones instead of one big one. However, it is so quiet! You really are out of the traffic and activity. We will request deck 1 now each time we go. We took the cruise hoping for a little relaxation, and we were able to get that on deck one. We never heard any noise from any activity when we were in our room.

We had a cabin on Deck One once, and it was by far the quietest location of any of our four cruises. Not that the other locations were noisy but Deck one has only 42 guest cabins, compared to 246 cabins on deck 6. And, in my experience most the noise you hear in your cabin comes from the hallway, deck one is the best for quite.

Another plus is you never have to wait for the second elevator, since it always (almost) arrives at your floor empty.
