Wondering what is on Deck 8 on the Disney fantasy and how much football traffic it will cause outside of our stateroom. We have a room midship. And just wondering if we woulld experience a lot of noise outside our room with people going places

Deck 8 is just guest rooms. With guest rooms above you and below you. However, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not noisy.

We did 8th deck on Dream (same size/layout) midship on a sold out holiday cruise with lots of kids and families everywhere. Just like a hotel, you can hear others in the hallway as they pass by if they are being noisy (not just talking). Other than the occasional noise in the hallway, or from the neighbors through the connecting door (again, louder than talking), you probably won't notice much.

If you don't mind me asking how did you like your room and what category were you in?

Can't remember the category without looking it up, but it was a regular mid ship verandah that slept 4. It was not the larger family verandas as those rooms look a bit longer on the deck layout.
We really loved the mid ship location, but since there are rooms above and below that deck, it was a guarantee of two or more decks to travel to go anywhere. Conversely, we stayed deck 2 midship interior on Magic last summer as we didn't expect to use our verandah while crossing the North Sea. We liked being close to certain things, like the lobby and restaurants, but -of course- the pool deck/drink machines/Cabanas restaurant were much farther of a walk and some days required the elevators. Oh, and on the Magic one wall was shared with Edge (tween club) but sound insulation was great and I worried about tweens running the hallways since we were just around the corner, but it was actually quiet! Maybe they were just an especially well behaved group of kids!
It is not a great comparison between the Magic and the Dream class ships-different size and number of passengers. If I were picking a verandah on the Dream again, I would certainly consider Deck 8 again. Good luck!

Great to hear! And thank you. Never been on a cruise before so just looking to get as much information as I can. Plus it helps me with the waiting process lol

We had a midship verandah cabin on Deck 7 of the Dream (similar layout to Deck 8 - entirely cabins and in between other floors that are entirely cabins). We had very little noise at all. We never heard our neighbors and only occasionally could hear something faint from the hall. We were in 7086 - about 5 cabins away from the midship elevators/stairs.
