Deck 7

Does anone know how big the secret deck on deck 7 is? We are trying to plan a DIS meet and were wonder how big it is.
Does anyone have any other ideas where to hold a meet?

There's an aft overlook on deck 7 and deck 8; the one on deck 7 is significantly bigger. Not a lot of chairs on either deck, but you could host a pretty big meeting back there on Deck 7 if people didn't mind standing. (They call it a "secret deck", but I'm not sure why -- there's a big sign on the door that says "Aft Overlook: Doors locked from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m." Maybe it's called "secret" because not a lot of people would necessarily wander back there on those two decks, unless you had an aft stateroom there.)

All that being said, from what I saw, the promenade lounge on Deck 3 was practically deserted for most of the 5/8 Wonder cruise, and I'm guessing you'd be a lot more comfortable meeting there, or maybe up on Deck 10 overlooking the pools.

When we cruised this past January, we had a dis meet in (I think it was) Diversions. They had coffee, tea, oj, iced tea etc and some chocolate chip cookies. Was very nice!!! Have fun.

We had our first one there and it holds a lot but like the previous poster, it doesn't have very many chairs. Plus it was hot, hot, hot! But, a great place for a group picture.

Just how "secret" it is depends on how many internet savvy cruisers are on board.
Also, I think they occasionally have teen meetings back there.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.. I know we are planning the first meet for 3 pm on embarkation day. Gives us time before the lifeboat drill and sail away party, and time to settle into the cabins.

Any ideas for cute DIS gifts that are inexpensive?

We were just on the April 24th wonder cruise and we never saw any one on the secret deck. We would hang out to catch some sun in the morning, there were 3 chaise lounges.

Wow, there were all kinds of loungers back in September...the kids clubs also had one or two events here...Most of the time it was EMPTY, and lovely.. I would just have a backup in case of rain...
