We're booked on the last cruise to Alaska. Because of price we are on deck5 forward OV. Usually we like 7. Just wondering on deck 5 is. It looks like we're above the theatre but we'll be at the show so noise from the theatre won't be an issue. It's just DH and myself so being close to the kids clubs won't concern us. So any advice on rooms and tips for Alaska. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also how is the weather early in sept

I have sailed deck 5 both fore and aft and it was just fine.

The weather is likely to be cool and rainy, as September is during their rainy season.

We had 5000 and 5002 in Alaska. We liked the location except for the night there was a movie PremEar. The speakers from the theater are in the floors of the cabin (at least it sounded like it) and we heard the MC start just before midnight. The movie was Cars 2 and the revving cars sounded like it was going to shake the pictures off the wall. Midnight showings don't happen every cruise so probably won't impact your cruise. We enjoyed the location in every other way.

YES! We also experienced being over a theater during a midnight PremEar. Our room shook for over two hours well into the wee hours. We liked our room, and would probably book it again even if there was PremEar during our cruise, we would just be more aware and plan for not sleeping during those hours. You can find out if a Disney movie release is planned during your cruise, just look up Disney movie release dates. If it opening weekend in theaters is during your cruise, they will also show it during your cruise, often at midnight, and often in the main theater for larger crowds.
