We LOVED room 6067, but decided to "upgrade" to a cat. 10 for our next cruise. I liked deck 6, midship because it was so "centrally" located. Now we have room 2101. WilL i be sorry? Is this too out of the way? Anyone have a suggestion?

I would definetly stick with deck six. The difference in space is not that great and I would not be happy on deck two. The elevators are always kind of hot and smelly and slow. And when you are on deck 2 you are pretty dependent on the elevator service. I stayed in category 11 up high and I loved it.

I don't think you'll mind deck 2 at all. Two of the restaurants are on Deck 3. The nightclubs are there as well (just make sure your new cabin is not right under them!) and the theater, shops and other restaurant are on deck 4. These are all just a couple of flights of stairs away. The only thing you'll need the elevator for is going to the top deck and maybe not even then, depending on your stamina! ;)

The main difference in the two cabins is the split bath and, to me, it is well worth the change in decks. We had the single bath on our first cruise and the split bath on our second. The split bath was a great thing to have, especially when getting ready in the morning or for dinner.

Have a great time, whatever you decide!

We have room 6067 booked for November 9th cruise. We have been on deck 7 and loved it. Did you like room 6067? It seems like its in a great location. What are the pros and cons to the room?
Thanks in advance
Matt:) :)

OH NO...SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! :(
Hot, slow, smelly elevators??
We have 5 rooms reserved on Deck 2 in Dec.

Donalds-best-pal.........
6067 was a great location! That is why I am unsure if I want to change to deck 2. We were a family of 4, and thought we could use a wee bit more space, so that is why we went up to a cat. 10, since it was only $100.00 more. I LOVED being SO close to the mid-ship elevators! We were 1 level up from the kids' club, and not far from deck 4, where so much activity is! Take an over the dorr shoe rack, and you will be fine! It was a super location.....I thought!

We just booked our 3rd Disney cruise and booked deck 2 again! I love deck 2 because it is easy to take the stairs to the restaurants, theater, Shutters, & the shops! I also think there is a lot less movement of the ship during high seas! I can feel a big difference when we are in the restaurants as compared to our room. You are also close to deck 1 for disembarking the ship! I love being one of the 1st ones off the ship at Castaway Cay! Enjoy!

Don't worry about Deck 2 -- we were in 2583 - with family in 2579/2581/and 2585 - on our July 28th 2001 Cruise and LOVED the room and location --

Pro's -
I agree - not as much motion as the upper decks

Split bath was great! All in all - was very roomy. (Family of 4 -Me/DH, DS(12) & DS(7) )

Easy access to Deck 1 for Disembarkment -(Castaway Cay)

Not a far walk up the stairs to Dinner - Shutters -and the Theater

Easy walk down the stairs from Dinner and the shows - no need to wait for elevators.

Never really had to wait for elevators - long enough for it to be an inconvenience - (and didn't find them hot and smelly -- not to say that others didn't) - You are just a short distance from the aft elevators too!

Con's
Can't really think of one -- That is why we book Room 2606 - for our Nov 9th Cruise -- This time with a Window !!!

Don't worry - you'll have a great time!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

After reading the post, I feel better. We are not under any loud bars....possibly under the Promenade Lounge, but it is mostly a quiet, sip a drink kind of place. I was just unsure.....I like to stick with what I KNOW! Thanks for all the input!

Nov 30th cruise we're on deck 2, under 1 of the restaurants. From Dave's list this wasnt a bad room to pick.

We've been on deck 2 twice and it was great. We never had a problem with the elevators... they were quick and never smelled. We also had the split bathrooms and we were in inside cabins! I did fell ship movement but assumed I would feel it anywhere...

I don't know about the ship movement, but we booked deck 6 for August because we want the verandah... I hope there is not more movement!

we were in room 2021 two years ago and loved it, another pro i havent seen mentioned was that when we did the ship drill the cast member told us we were actually lucky because in the unlikely event of an emergancy we would be the first ones on the lifeboats, another cheerly thought !!!

We stayed on Deck 2 twice category 9 and loved it. Our next cruise we will be there again. It is a very convenient location and the elevators "do not smell". Why would they?? Besides the fact when you are going to dinner you can walk up a flight of stairs right to the atrium which is great. No matter what floor you are on the elevators are SLOW.

Being our first and only cruise we loved this deck. We were in 6116 and 6118 right near the aft elevators. This was great because great grandma, 86, didn't have far to walk to the elevators. Four of the restaurants are aft, so it made it earier for her to get to the meals.

Elevators were slow and tiny, I must say. DH, DD and myself did take the stairs most of the time. Loved having the veranda, worth the $$ for me. The over the door shoe holder was a godsend of an idea.

Chalk up another vote for Deck 2. We were in Room 2552 on our 3 day Wonder cruise and loved it. No noise, close to the elevator, walk down from dinner.

When we go again in September, we booked room 2566! There is a lot less side to side movement in the lower part of the ship. Makes me less queezy:earseek:

I agree with all the pro's posted for Deck 2. Have not stayed on Deck 6, but I definately recall how much we appreciated the convenience of using the stairs to dine, to clubs, to deck one to go ashore. We loved bypassing the folks waiting to catch an UP elevator on embarkation day. Also, felt less motion on deck 2 compared to upper decks (not that the motion was bad on our cruise). Did not find any problem with elevators when we did use them on our cruise (not to discredit anyone who posted that they did). For our upcoming cruise, our parties moved from Deck 5, Cat. 11's to Deck 2 Cat. 10's when the 10's opened up to take advantage of split baths & connectors. Unfortunately, they are on Dave's noisy list, but I can offset that inconvenience (hopefully) by the convenience of deck 2/stairs. Decisions, Decisions: It is all a matter of stacking up the pro's to determine which cabin/deck will benefit YOU/YOUR FAMILY most. Good Luck!

We were in 2108 in April2001. We had no problems at all. The room was quiet and even with high seas at times we felt hardly any movement at all. It was a quick walk up the stairs to deck 4 for meals and shopping. You won't regret your choice. We plan on going again in March 2003 and will go cat 9 again and will request the same room.

We have booked a Cat 9 room on Deck 2 for 12/15/02 Wonder. Looked good when we booked it. Great to hear all the good things about Deck 2.

Hi Randy ... We have cabin 2566 on the Wonder. Is you upcoming cruise in 2566 on the Wonder? Just thought I"d ask since I noticed.
