Deck 1 location OK?

I FINALLY got my document for 9/11! We have connecting cabins 1067 and 1069. They are inside on deck 1. I am sure all cabins are fine, but what is the experience with Deck 1 inside? OK? Thanks1 I was hoping for upgrade to cat. 9. Oh well...

Never stayed on deck 1, but I have stayed on Deck 2 cat 10 (inside) and loved it. The location is great. Easy to get up to deck 3 (food and fun). It is a long climb up the stairs to deck 9, but just think of all of the extra desert you can eat after doing "the stair master" Also, from deck 1 its easy to get off of the ship in the ports - because you are "already there" unless they are only using the aft door on deck 1.

We loved deck 1. We were in 1048 - upgraded from 11 to 9.

My kids got lots of extra attention from the CM's, there is a door to a staff area down there. Being able to go right to your room after a hot day in port was a huge blessing for us. The hallways were very quiet - no reason to be down there unless you were staying there. It was a stone's throw away from Deck 3.

I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Our first week on our back to back cruise was spent on deck 1, and it was just great. Very quiet and virtually no motion of the boat felt all week. Great location for speedy exit on Port days, as the gangway is situation just a few steps away. Would happily stay on deck 1 again. Have fun. Nat
