Hi All,

doing my research now for our summer vacation for 2018, right now I'm looking at maybe the Med Cruise on Magic. I have stayed at Deck 2 on the Fantasy for the Western Carribbean and we loved the convenience of it, wondering if Deck 1 is the same as Deck 2 on fantasy? is that too low?

I tried searching on the forum for Deck 1 info, but didnt find any, have anyone stayed at Deck 1 and can share their experience?

I also looked at Verandah, but the cost is so much more per room (over $3000 more per room).

any info is much appreciated!

We stayed on Deck 1 in Cabin 1030 one time several years ago. Can't remember if it was the Magic or Wonder but they would both be the same. As I recall, it only had one bathroom and
two small porthole windows but was fine for us. We were just thrilled to be anywhere on the ship!

It was the very last Cabin in the hallway and right around the corner from the Deck 1 gangway. The only noise we ever heard was when they lowered or raised the gangway and
that was just for a short few minutes. Another plus was very little traffic in the hallway as there were only a few cabins down there.

Bon voyage.

Really? This is the first I've heard of a non-lowest category interior cabin not having the split bathroom. None of the reviews mention that...

I've been in two deck 1 cabins 106something and 107something. Both had split bathrooms...

Yeah, everything I've seen for the OV cabins at least (which 1030 is one) indicates a split bathroom. That's why I'm confused.

One was an OV. Definitely had a split bathroom. There were 3 of us all trying to get ready for work at the same time lol.

What more can I say? I remember only one bathroom there in Cabin 1030. As I said, I'm not sure if it was the Magic or Wonder as it was at the of beginning
of DCL cruise history (not Big Red Boat) and our DCL cruise history. I'm talking going back about 17-18 years! I remember, too, when we moved up to Deck 2 we were amazed by the split bathroom and how nice it was to have.

I have a friend who works for the DCL so will attempt to find out.

To Miggee: Sorry, I don't remember about any vibration/noise except for when the gangway went up and down. Doesn't mean there wasn't any - just that I don't
remember that in particular.
