I have a dilemma, can't decide when to schedule my trip to WD.
Choice between the Dec 31 - Jan 4, and March 7-12. My main concerns are the crowds and rates, not concerned with the weather and park hours.

Thanks,
Cboy

The week AFTER New Years is historically one of THE lowest attendance weeks of the year. Thsi is when we suually go and we just love it! We have always goten very good room rates then as well. Feel free to email me!

This year my children are out of school until Jan 5th for Christmas Break. I wonder if this is true for a lot of districts. If so I bet you those few days won't be quite as slow as they normally are. I know I would extend if I was going at that time. I think this year I would vote for March. Spring break crowds are kind of around a bunch of weeks so not everyone is there at the same time. (except maybe Easter weeks) You will probably get extended hours then also. Don't know what disney will do in Dec/Jan for hours. Also in March you get an extra day. (right?) Enjoy your trip whatever you decide.

Don't forget, if you check in on December 31, holiday season rates will apply. Those are higher than normal rates. If you wait to check in on January 1, value rates should apply. You might want to stay off-property for 1 night. A lot of hotels though over New Year's Eve require a 2 night minimum stay. I'm sure the parks will be jam-packed for New Year's Eve and hopefully the rest of the week shouldn't be as crowded.

Generally over spring break you are also looking at peak season rates but maybe there will be some discount rates.

:) :)
