Decisions...multi-day passes or Annual Pass or Premium AP?

Wise DISers, I'm faced with a decision I've never had to make before. I've signed up for both DISapalooza and Podcast Cruise 6.0, which means that I'll be visiting WDW approximately 1 year apart. I'm also considering a trip to Disneyland for the 60th sometime between DISapalooza and PCC 6.0. So, with that many possible visits within 12 months, I'm considering an annual pass instead of several multi-day passes. Can anyone steer me to any information about the Annual Pass that works for WDW and DLR? I see the Premium AP on the WDW website ($779 USD). But I can't find information on that other pass. TIA

The Premier Annual Pass is $1099 plus Florida tax. This is the pass that gets you a full year of DLR and WDW. I just got mine last week. I live 15 minutes from DLR, and will be going to WDW this summer, and next Spring for the Flower & Garden Festival. My July trip alone will more than pay for the upgrade from the DLR Premium AP. If you are going to visit Disneyland, then you really should get the Premier AP.

Thanks Alesia. Interesting. I see two different prices. $780 or $830 for the Premium Annual Pass. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/ https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/ I'm sure that the higher price is the correct, updated one. I'll still have to do that math and the comparison. And thanks, Robo. I'm certainly going to try!
The premier passport is different and it is not listed with the AP or the PAP. The price is in the link I posted. It is $1099 plus tax.

Fantaluminishes, I think that you're very much right. I've just done the math, and for two 5-day + PH passes for WDW (for this December and next December) plus a 3-day + PH for DLR, it comes to $1081.00. So for less than $20 more, I would get to take advantage of the added benefits of the Premier Passport. Alternatively, I could buy an AP for WDW plus a 3-day + PH pass for DLR for $975.00. I would save $125, sure. But there are far more benefits to the Premier Passport. Hmmmm. Not sure if I'm ready to part with that much money, though... Still deciding.

We are going Thanksgiving week and hopefully next spring with a bounce back. If the bounce back is good I would like to upgrade our tickets to annual passes. How do I do this during my trip to get the best deal? I know how to add days but not exchange for annual passes

Use the tickets at least a day then upgrade to the ap. You should pay the difference between the ap you want and the ticket you have.

You can upgrade from the wdw ticket to the premier, so the big money isn't all coming out at once.

Premier gives you the equivalent of a premium pass to both parks. At Disneyland there are tons of food discounts with an ap. At wdw it is much more limited. Google "allears wdw discounts" to find a PDF laying out the current dining discounts there.

There are merchandise discounts with both I believe. If you can get an ap discount for the stays that's great.

But really think about if you will surpass that $125 amount in savings or if you just *want* the pass. I still haven't been able to make the premier work for me though I really want it to work. :)

We have done the premier pass 3 times, the latest expiring in June. We usually do a 14 day trip to WDW and a 6 day trip to DLR a year and find that it works out best for us that way. We use the discounts on hotel, food and merchandise at DLR and the hotel and merchandise discount and TIW at WDW. Twice we have been able to get a second WDW trip in the last month of the pass which is a bonus. If Kuzco-like's math is right, I would definitely try to swing it.
