Ok, I just rec'd some emails promotions from Allseasons and they have some great deals on both the Nov 22nd cruise which has TWO stops at Castaway Cay, and on the Dec 13th Eastern Cruise.
Here's my thinking...(no wisecracks there BD....yes, I do think!):)

Both of these work well with ds's school schedule, the Dec13th more so, as he would only miss one day (the Friday we fly down). The Nov 22nd he would miss three days plus the Friday before as we fly down day prior...so four total.

The Nov 22nd would allow us to skip the family "get together" at Thanksgiving (and if you knew my family, you would know why that is a plus!):)

We went to the Western last December and really loved it. Not so excited about the Eastern, but would love to do something different. Besides, my pal Ann and the group are going on the Dec 13th one and she has been riding this roller coaster of my life with me for the last few months on whether we get to go or not. I owe her don't ya think? LOL

So, what does everyone think? Eastern/Western with special itin? My other prob is last time we booked with Dreams and I really loved their service, however....THEY did not send me any email updates! (eh hem), I have never booked with Allseasons...so Dreams, can you match pricing for me? ;)

Just found out that ds's graduation from his boot camp (Young Marines) is the second week (or around there) of December. So that nixes the 13th, but still leaves the 20th. And I checked his schedule for school and they actually have only a half day the 26th of Nov and no school the 27th and 28th. So he wouldn't miss as much as expected. (It was easier when we homeschooled!)

I guess what I need to hear here (that sounds kind of weird...hear here) is what the weather is like the end of November??? We cruised the beginning of December last year and seemed to hit about the only week with good weather at that time. Anyone that has cruised around Thxgiving can you tell me what the weather was like at CC and in the Western??

Thx

Lisa

Lisa I may never forgive you for toying with me so :(
(well a birthday bottle of champagne waiting in my stateroom might help me forgive you :) )
The weather at the end of November will be so horrible compared to mid. December you will regret it, the kid doesn't need to go to boot camp graduation. Heck we can give him a graduation party with my bday party!
:jester:

:)
Ann,
You have to forgive me, or I will throw myself overboard!LOL

All this trying to schedule around this that or the other activity is driving me crazy...I just want to CRUISE!:) Oh, and get out of family functions...LOL
You know what my life has been like these last months with my cousin passing away etc., I have had enough of family to last me several lifetimes!

Why did you have to pick that week??? Why not the one before or the one after??? Hmmmmmm???

Still not sure which to pick so don't hate me yet...

Can't anyone else chime in here and let me know about that week in November?

I can't tell you about past but we are on the 11/22 if that helps. Me, hubby, daughters 15, 6, and 5 and my mom and step-dad. I love the idea of 2 CC. Can't find anyone else going. Can I ask what kind of deal for the 22nd? We paid alot because it being a holiday and supposed to get sold out quick with that and the 2 CC but Disney is still showing everything open. I normally get emails from All seasons but didn't get this one. I have been hoping for a deal!

Thanks for the heads up. I went to All Season's and it looks like Florida Resident right now. My mom is going with us and she is FL resident so they will save almost $1300 on their connecting category 10. I emailed my travel agent and he hadn't heard that yet so is trying to get it changed this morning. We just paid our last payment so I am hoping maybe this will help us upgrade to an 8 or better. (Don't want to be down on decks 1 or 2 and there is seven of us so 9 and 7 are out!)

vgaskin: what I rec'd from Allseasons is:
I was looking at the triple rate as we have three:
$5266 for a cat 6
$5066 for a cat 7
$4326 for a cat 8
$4126 for a cat 9
$3926 for a cat 10
$2946 for a cat 11.
This includes all port charges and govt fees, but does NOT include airfare or insurance.
For five you could split the rooms. Add and addtl $200 for the 15 yo.

My travel agent already called this morning. He put mom in my room and hubby in my step-dad's room and we saved $3840 for the 7 of us!!!!!!! We did loose our $100 per cabin stateroom credit so we are still ahead $3640. We are now looking into upgrading to 8's or 5's(no more quad 6's). Thank you so much for posting that. Go on the 11/22 with us, we are going to be some mighty happy people!

I don't know if you celebrate Christmas or not and I don't know if they decorate the ship. If they do, I would imagine that it won't be decorated in November, but will be in December.

They will have a special Thanksgiving menu I am told and I think the characters will be in Thanksgiving outfits. They do decorate for Christmas and I really hope it is decorated for us. It might not be until we get off the ship but I hope they have it decorated for us. Plus, Castaway Cay twice!!!!!
