Deciding between Signature AP and Signature Plus AP.

We are past AP holders, and will be getting them again during our trip this week. If we are not planning to go during the two weeks at Christmas, is there any reason at all to get the Signature Plus? I know the Plus includes Maxpass, but it is my understanding that we can add Maxpass for the year for $75 per pass. That would still be cheaper than the Plus. So I think the Signature is the way to go for us unless I'm missing something. Just looking for last minute advice before I pull the trigger.

If you know you won't be visiting during those last two weeks of the year, then Signature is definitely the better deal for you. Just add Maxpass at the time you purchase so that you can enjoy it for the duration of your pass.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure.

You can upgrade to + if/when needed. We had a Signature last year and "needed" to upgrade to + for a very special trip over New Years.

This. The benefit really isn't there for that tier in my opinion (says the person who had their Premium tier retired on them and now only has a Signature).

You would need to use it at least two days during the xmas 2 weeks to make it worth it. Other than the xmas blockout they are the same

Actually with current Disney pricing, if you were definitely planning to add MaxPass to a signature pass, then you only need to go to the park on one day during the xmas blockout to make it either almost even or a better deal to buy the signature plus. A single day non-hopping ticket during that time is $124 and a single day hopping ticket is $174. MaxPass is currently $75. The price difference between signature and signature plus is $200.

We’ve gone with Signature ever since they phased out Premium. We avoid the parks during those two weeks, but they recently also removed the photo pass from Signature for new purchasers. We will continue to have the benefits though until we stop renewing, but that is something else to make note of if Photo Pass being included is important to you.

Only reason to get a Sig+ is for that two weeks the Sig is blocked. If you aren't going then, it's not worth it.

If you add MP to the Sig, you'll still get PP+ included as well and it is still cheaper than the Sig+.

This is what I did. I enjoy going to the parks the last two weeks, but I'm good with enjoying the holiday season in November/1st 2 weeks in December and saving my $. I did spring for the maxpass, although I wish it were already included, and I'm enjoying using it.

I never thought of that. I didn't realize you can upgrade the passes if necessary. That's good to know.

Well, I have decided that we will definitely be getting Signature and adding MP. Thanks for the advice everybody!

As per my knowledge, signature plus is only when signature is closed or blocked.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here. Signature and Signature Plus are two different levels of Annual Pass. The Signature is good all year except for the last two weeks of December. It does not come with Photo Pass or Max Pass. The Signature Plus is good for all 365 days of the year. It comes with Photo Pass and Max Pass.
