We just joined DVC which gives me an excuse to go solo. I have dreamed of going solo but my Dh doesn't think it is a good idea. Well, I am taking my sister and her friend to WDW in July and am extending my vacation to try solo traveling! I don't care what he thinks. For July 22 (the day they are leaving) until July 25 I am going to be solo! :)

What should I try as a solo? I am hoping to send one full day at the resort to enjoy the pool. Ah, I can't wait! :cheer2:

Hi, Kitty! You'll have a great time!!! Try the Segway tour at Epcot if you're at all interested -I did it solo and it was great fun!!!! I also rented a WaterMouse on a solo trip once - also a hoot!!!! It's just fun to be on your own schedule - I know you'll have a wonderful time!!!

You will have a wonderful time just relaxing and spending the day enjoying your resort. Good for you. Some of the things I do when going solo is visiting other resorts and having a wonderful meal while watching fireworks. :thumbsup2

I agree with DVCLiz, try the Segway.
I did that on my first solo trip last year and it was great!!

Right now I have been trying to decide where to stay. For one night we are at BW then we are moving to AKL (my sister really wants to stay there) then I have the three nights solo. Not sure yet, but I have to decide soon. I have also looked into taking a tour. I am taking KTTK in April.

I also am a DVC member and take 2-3 solo trips each year - one for spring break (teacher), one sometimes for a weekend of Food and Wine Fest and the other as soon as school is out. I love my solo trips! I have done a couple of things solo that I have never done with my mom, husband or others such as go to Cirque du Soleil and spend an afternoon at the spa at SSR. DVC was offering a discount package there last summer, and I really enjoyed it. I am not a park commando, so resort/pool/good book time is always a favorite. I know you will have a wonderful time!

I am a teacher too! This is why I feel like I deserve a solo trip this summer---I am off of school! I spent all of last summer finishing up my Masters Degree. My Dh doesn't even like Disney as much as me! Humm, I am still trying to figure out how to "break" the news to him about this trip. I really can't wait! :yay:
