Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a good price on airfare out of Halifax? We want to go at the end of October and it's pretty pricey right now.

That's suprising.. for our trip last October I booked in the summer and the flights were super super cheap.. like $380?/person all fees included though Air Canada. Was Halifax->Toronto->Orlando .. friends who came with us and booked later went through Newark for around $400ish. I would wait a bit. The prices will drop!

Sign up for Travelocity.ca email allert when you make a Fare Watcher.

I did this and got a price of $310 on United but they were using Air Canada planes. I thought $310 was good...

Thanks guys!! You've given me a glimmer of hope!! We could go out of bangor, but the cost of gas, etc makes it not worth it if I can get prices like what you guys are coming up with.

Check ALL of the airlines! There are quite a few options out of Halifax now. :)

We were able to find the cheapest tickets (and best times for us) with Delta. It was $386 per person (total, all taxes and fees included in that price)

Just keep checking! I keep a little notebook by the computer and just write down when the prices go up or down.

We got tickets out of Halifax for a little over $400, taxes in. This is pretty good since we aren't flexible with our time and it is March break. Anything around $400 is good I think!! :flower:

I agree with everyone else...we're already watching for next year:)

You can register with www.sidestep.com and check periodically as well:) Great for searching! and when you find something, let us know!!!:)

We paid $1500CDN for the four of us, AC Jan23-Feb10, through YYZ, taxes in:)HTH!!

Last year around Mar or Apr a seatsale came out for travel in October. Assuming you book by deadline etc. I think at the time I checked Air Canada & Westjet, both were participating.

Good Luck :wizard:

I booked our tickets on Delta out of Halifax in July for $380...try using the airlines websites after you run them through Expedia. Expedia charges like $15 to process tickets, the airlines don't have to.

I find if you watch Air Canada's website, especially on the weekends you can get some great deals. We bought our airfare from Moncton last June for our upcoming trip in May and overpaid $2200 for four. Since then I have seen AC flights for as low as $1600 for four. I'm not whining though because we are doing land and sea and when we booked the Disney part the $2200 was the best price at the time and we wanted to ensure our day and flight time.
