Hi. I posted this on the Community Board but I wonder if it should be here.

Attending a wedding in TN on the way home from WDW and was wondering if anyone knew of a decent (*clean, no bugs, not stinky*) place to stay in Murfreesboro.

I appreciate anyone's help!:wave2:

There is a Holiday Inn there that I think is OK. I know there are others, but i just drive thru.

I *think* we stayed at a either a Quality or a Comfort Inn (one of the Choice brands) when we drove down in '98. It was okay, but it looked like they hadn't vacuumed since the place opened (dust bunnies). Made my allergies act up. Otherwise, it was okay, at least for 1 night. If I had to stay longer, I would have requested a cleaner room or changed altogether.

We stayed at a Microtel which was okay. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and the people were pleasant.

Country Inns and Suites. New and very nice. Right at the I-24 and Hwy 96 exit. Many rooms come with a whirlpool tub.

I had a reservation at the Country Inn and Suites there two years ago - looked like a nice place but when I was checking in - no rooms! "What part of reservation don't you understand?", had to move up the road to another one and speak to the manager the following Monday. Mid.Tenn.State University was having parents weekend or something - the "town" was packed.

I travel a lot on business and I stay at CI&S as often as possible. I have never had a problem with any of them, including the one near DTD. It is my favorite offsite hotel. If I had that happen to me, they would probably have to call the police -- I would not be a happy camper. I hope they gave you some satisfaction.

I second County Inns and Suites. We have stayed there a few times and plan on returning in July for the Drum Corp show.

DO make reservations, however. The DCI show fills the town!

Thanks so much for your help. It was actually a toss-up between Country Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn. Just hate paying more $$ for one night than I'm paying at POP (AP rate!).::yes::

Keep in mind that you are getting a BREAKFAST and in room coffee makers, a microwave and fridge for the same cost as a room at POP
