Heading north from Orlando to NJ and usually go further than than this before stopping for the night. This time we plan to stop and visit a friend for a few hours in Hilton Head area, so thought we would stop in Fayetteville area at the end of the day. Mixed reviews on trip advisor for this area. Has anyone stayed at a decent, clean, moderately priced motel? TIA Grammy:goodvibes

It's been a long time, but I seem to remember a Hampton Inn just off I-95 that was perfectly adequate, and rather inexpensive for a Hampton at the time.

According to kayak.com, there's one meeting that description for 72/night.

Ditto to the Hampton Inn. If it's the one we've stayed at before it has exterior corridors which we usually avoid but this one is fine. Nothing fancy but adequate.

There are a bunch of hotels right off Rt 95 in Fayetville. On the way down we stayed at a Super Motel 8 (or 6). It had an indoor pool and free breakfast in the morning. But in my opinion the room was dark and dated. It wasn't dirty but I didn't feel 100% comfortable there.

On the way home we stayed at some indepdent hotel (only one available in the area) and again it was clean and freshly remodeled but I was not comfortable again.

I cant stress enough that I had no problems at either hotel but wished I had stayed at a more upscale hotel
