pirate: Not sure if this is the right board but here goes. Last night I purchased a pkg. for the Wilderness Lodge Courtyard view for 5 nights from Dec. 3rd-8th. We will be attending MVMCP for 2 nights on Dec. 4th and also the 6th.. We also bought 2 7 day hopper tickets with no expiration and also bought the magic your way dining pkg. because it sounds like a pretty good deal. The total for the pkg. not counting the 2 nights for MVMCP tickets came to a total of $2366.66. I want to know if this is a decent deal. I couldn't find any discounted room rates for that time frame so I went with the pkg. plus dining. Thanks for any suggestions or input. Chip.

I haven't done an analysis, but that price doesn't sound terrible.

Personally, I wouldn't pay extra for "no expiration" on the tix if you're planning on using all 7 days on the tickets during this one trip. If, for some reason, you end up not using a day, you can always take the tix to Guest Services before you leave and add the "no expiration", so I would call back and get the tickets changed to 7 day MYW with Park Hopping and expiry.

Also, is there a reason you are going to MVMCP for two nights? If I were you, I would go to MVMCP only one night and get the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package one night. (Actually, since we will be at WDW at that same time with young kids, we have opted to do only the CP Dinner Package with the 5:30 CP show -- MVMCP would be too late for our kids.) CP Dinner Package isn't available yet, but you should be able to book it in August or September.

Also, with the dining plan, you'll want to make dining reservations for as many of your sit-down meals as possible. The dining plan is making the sit-down restaurants more popular and so it's getting more difficult to just walk-in for a meal at WDW. Call 407-WDW-DINE starting 90 days before your meal to book ADRs (reservations).

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful!

Enjoy your trip!

How many people are you travelling with? Did you have to purchase extra hoppers - because I thought they would be part of your package. Price still sounds OK since you added the dining. I agree that you can always add the no expiration later.

Good luck!

pirate: Thanks for such quick responses. We will be going this year without our 2 teenage daughters due to the fact that they will be in school and it's really hard for them to catch up on their subjects being away for that long, also it gives my wife and I some time alone since we have only went a few places without the kids since we have been together. The reason we're going for 2 nights to the MVMCP is the fact that my wife honestly loves the show in Tomorrow Land which I think is called Mickey's Twas The Night Before Christmas Show. We have taken our kids several times over the years to both the Halloween parties as well as the MVMCP.. I have to admit I do feel funny not taking them this year but I just thought my wife and I could spend some quality time together for the first time in a long time. Thanks for the heads up on the Candlelight Processional, I honestly completely forgot about that 1. I'm still thinking of changing resorts but as of now I'm keeping everything the same. The reason I got the 7 day hopper tickets is because living in Tennessee, I'm positive we will be going next summer. Sorry so long of a response. As my wife says constantly says - I'm long winded!!!! Ha!!! Ha!!! Thanks, Chip.

:teeth: Wow - a DH, DW vacation - doesn't that sound devine! I'm so jealous. Although, we love taking our little ones to WDW.

Your price sounds good. Have a great time! I definately want to see the CP one day, but we decided to forgo it this time since I think the kids would be a pain during it.

BTW, who cares how much it is - you and DW are going ALONE!!! Live it up and have fun!! :teeth:

Since you are buying 7 day hoppers with no expiration for a 5 day trip, I assume that you plan to use days on your next trip. Why not spend a few more bucks and get the 10 day no expiration hoppers? It's not much more at all, and you're already paying for hopping and no expiration...
