Have been in December before and the weather is mixed. Some days shors & t-shirts & others trousers & jumper/fleece. You will need a jacket for evenings & sometimes early morning. Generally it warms up & you should be able to get to the water parks. We are going on the 9th  so I am hoping for some nice days.

Sorry have not flown with TCD.

The weather in the mornings and evenings can be quite chilly, so best to take lots of easily removed/added layers. Last December we had some nights where we had sweatshirts and jackets on :)

During the day once the sun gets up it can be in the high 70s and shorts and tshirt weather, but as soon as the sun starts to go down it soon cools.

Hi,we normally go in big groups 6+ and we always pre-book as one time we didnt and some of us had to sit separately also is a good idea to get extra baggage allowance if youre spendaholics like us. :woohoo:

Everyone else must be made of sterner stuff than us - we went in Dec 2003 and found the evenings very, very cold especially waiting around for parades and fireworks. We all had hats, scarfs and goves aswell has big fleeces and jackets. The days were very pleasant once the morning chill had worn off.

Layers, layers and more layers is what we will be taking this December.

been twice at Christmas time and although it was always sunny it coul be chilly, especially at night, always been able to sunbathe though. As for TCD I have never pre booked and have always sat with all our party. When you arrive at checkin you will find that your seats have already been allocated.

:thumbsup2 Thankyou  for all your replies they have been a great help! :Pinkbounc I have called TCD and booked freetime check inn and sanford lounge, But it is £109 to prebook seats I think I will take a chance.

That's when we went too. We went sort of prepared for 'cooler' days/evenings but not for how cold it got on some evenings. Spent a fortune on hot chocolate waiting for parades and fireworks trying to keep warm. Even on one of the saturdays when we went to Epcot it was bitterly cold during the day..only about 10 degrees during the day!! Was only a blip though..soon warmed up again and back to t-shirts and shorts during the day.

A little bit of advice regarding pre-seating: You need to ask yourself two questions:

1) Do I mind taking the risk of not getting seated together?
2) If we don't get seated together, will it upset me for the flight and put a downer on the trip?

Also bear this in mind when answering the questions:

TCD advise that unless something drastic happens (they weren't specific about what 'drastic' was), you will have the same seat assignments for the return trip.

Economy seating is 3 - 4 - 3 across.

Now ask yourself the questions again! Holidays to WDW aren't a regular occurence (except for the fortunate few) and you'll want to maximise the magic and make sure you remember it! you don't want to look back in a year's time and go "i wish i spent the extra on...". No regrets!

Freetime is extremely useful and allows you the day to visit a park again before heading off for the flight, just don't shop beyond your carry-on limit!

The lounge is very relaxing, highly recommend it. allows you to do some last minute DISing before coming home :teeth:
