We are going December 12-19th and we have only been there in late June and were curious what ti expect.

We are both use to waiting in line because it is a busy time and usully go with six but now is two. Also what is the weather like because we are from the north and know it is warmer there.

I love going this week in Dec. Went a couple years ago and it wasn't too crowded, but expect it to start picking up by the end of the week. When I go this time of year I dress in layers since it's cool in the mornings and evenings, but warms up nicely midday (usually).

Enjoy your trip and all the Christmas shows/decorations!!! :goodvibes

The weather can be delightful. It is usually chilly at night, so a jacket or sweater is recommended.

Keep an eye on the weather on the week to 10 days preceding your trip and pack accordingly. Central Florida does get cold....on one of our December trips, it was colder in Orlando than it was at home in PA! So if that occurs at least you will be prepared.

We are going December 13-19th and can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations. Are you going to MVMCP? We are going Dec 17th. Only two more months to go!!!:yay:

We cannot wait to see the decorations either we are going to MVMCP on December 15th. VERY EXCITED!:yay:

We will be coming in with the masses on the 20th. Most definitely watching the 10 day forecast as we pack. This is our first trip in December and we are excited to see Disney in it's Christmas finery!

I think you will see an increase in the crowd level as your week progresses. Just as we will see it grow the closer we get to Christmas.

I agree with the previous poster. The crowds will most likely start out light and get heavier as you get closer to xmas. Take some time to check out some of the resorts especially, GF, WL, and BW. That was one of my favorite parts.

We have been going to WDW for the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas for the last six years and are going again this year!

The start of your vacation should be pretty light for crowds - although we did notice last year that Disney had obviously done a good job with their promotions as the parks were busier than previous years. Do the most popular rides at the start of your vacation. By the 19th you will find there are more people in the parks - the weekend before Xmas Day everyone just pours into the parks and it gets really full by about the 21st (depending on what day of the week Xmas falls on)

It really is worth doing some research about each parks' busiest days and planning to avoid those. Doing the parks in a non-conventional order can make the wait times incredibly small!

Weather-wise, some years have been so hot we have spent days by the pool, other years I have lived in my sweatshirts, gloves, scarves and hats! Bring a range of things that can be worn together or alone.

Also remember there is loads of other cool Xmas stuff besides MVMCP, each resort is dressed up beautifully, each park has a differently themed tree and most have lighting ceremonies come evening time. There is also loads of stuff around EPCOT World Showcase to enjoy that is seasonal - don't miss the candlelight processional. I don't feel it's Christmas until I see that!

Have fun!

Thank you for the heads up!!!:thumbsup2

We have been to Disney the last 3 years in December. Typically early December is a great time. However, with the free dining offer we fear that Disney will be crowded early in the month. Free dining ends mid December. December could be a busy month! Can't wait to see!

We are skipping the MVMCP - but we are doing the Wishes Dessert Party!!!

actually free dining could extend upto the week of Christmas:scared1: We could book dining upton Dec 17th, which would take right upto Christmas. So i could see people starting there Xmas vacation early (before the 17th) in order to get free dining for there stay....

I am getting afraid that it will be busy, but we are going to do a more low key vacation this time around, so hopefully be there more for the abiance(SP?)

Last year it was hot that week (80s). Perfect at night - upper 60s.
Anyone from up north (der hey) will do fine with sweatshirt, long pants and gloves on those really cool nights.

Can't wait to see you there ....................My family and I went last year . We had just missed the cold snap there ...During the day very comfortable roughly 77-85 but got chilly at night roughly 60 not bad when there was a blizzard in Syracuse,NY......OKW here we come DEC.11TH THRU 19TH :banana::banana::cool1::cool1:
