We're (myself, DM, DD, & cousin) doing our first Xmas trip this year, too. I've talked to a lot of people who have been there during this period of time & say while the crowds may be heavy, the cooler weather & festive atmosphere more than make up for it. I've been there during the week of July 4th & I've heard it's comparable in terms of crowds. So if it's nice & cool (but not too cold!), it'll be amazing! We're doing the Candlelight Processional too on Xmas Eve @ the Biergarten. Have a great trip!

My DH and I are going in December for the first time, too! We'll be there from 12/18 through 1/1. Feel free to check out my pre-trip report. Maybe it will give you some ideas. You're doing some great things. We stayed at POP last summer and loved it there. I look forward to hearing more about your planning.

Just read your itinerary & trip planning report- WOW, you're organized! We have the DDP so we had to plan where we were going to eat...
12/22- Chef Mickeys
12/23- Liberty Tree Tavern
12/24- Biergarten
12/25- 1900 Park Fare
12/26- Boma
12/27- Mama Melrose's
God only knows where we'll end up with the counter service places. DH is staying home. DH is Jewish, so Xmas isn't a big deal to him. Although I'm also half Jewish, I LOVE the Christmas Holidays. Since Chanuakka comes earlier in the month this year, we'll get in our big family holiday. I'm kind of sad cos this will be my first Xmas without DH(who really isn't a Disney freak like me) and my DS (he's 21 & will spending the holidays with his girlfriend), but DD, DM, & DC(Disney cousin) will be joining me. Your plans sound TERRIFIC!!! I wish we could stay longer than 7 days, but being a nurse, I'm lucky I got that off.
