If i fly down on 11/30 and fly into TPA Airfare $828

Room for the night $150.00

Rental Car $200 this is a savings of $235 not say i wont spend that elsewhere

Where are you staying for the $150. a night? A Moderate, offsite? Regardless, one more night . . . and a little cheaper - I would be all over it. We have flown into Tampa many a time and it's not a big deal at all. Adds less than an hour travel time as long as you are not trying it at rush hour.

I have extended several of our trips to catch a cost benefit. Our current trip we are not "saving" per se, but the airfare difference covered 3 more nights in the hotel and the car rental difference with a bit left to cover food. I figured if the money was out of my pocket either way, I'd just as soon enhance the vacation experience as pay extra to ride in the same plane seat!

If you can not come up with a compelling reason not to, I'd say go for it!

We regularly change days or airports to save money, then use the money to extend our stay. An extra day at WDW is always worth it!

We're doing the same thing (except using MCO). SSR 12/1 - 12/7...until airfares came out for SWA. My daughter's was worse than ours; she's flying out of NH. By flying 11/30 and staying at Art of Animation, she SAVES $900! Our flights are much cheaper as well, but we're staying in a suite. I'm not counting the rental car, as we'd rent one anyway, and will eventually end up with Alamo I think.

An extra day at Disney? Priceless...especially if it costs MUCH less than before!
