It looks like we will be at the Polynesian for a few nights (maybe four) in early December. I read in a guide book that there are special Christmas shows and dinners offered. Does anyone know anything about these events? We'll be with our 3 and 7 yr. olds and their grandparents. Thanks, Pye

The Candlelight Processional, which is a telling of the Christmas story at Epcot by someone famous with a chorus singing Christmas songs, is wonderful. You may want to set aside some time for visiting the resorts to see their Christmas decorations. Each hotel has a theme. The GF has a huge gingerbread house! Of course, there is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

There are plenty of extras in December!

We will be there early December also!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event not to be missed:D You can purchase your tickets now!! Also the Osborne Lights at Disney Studios are incredible as well! Something we like to do is just resort hop (actually we love to do this any of our trips!)

It is an amazing time to visit:D Have a super trip!

We will be there in December as well!! Have a wonderful time! :)

The decorations are lovely, the atmosphere festive, the weather practically perfect. And the crowds? Ha! What crowds?
When we did a Christmas-time trip (early December) a few years ago, most of the big ticket rides were walk ons or -- at most -- 10 minute waits.

And that was before the era of Fast Pass.

You'll love it. Make a point to visit all the countries in Epcot, btw, where their native Santa Clauses will be meeting and greeting and telling about their own traditions. Very neat. (Loved the Canadian Claus with his lumberjack plaid shirt ...)

December is a great time to go. The Osborne lights, The CP at Epcot is great, but watching it snow on Main Street at night during the Christmas parade may be the best of them all.

Have a great time... no one does Christmas like Disney! All of the things mentioned above are definitely can't-miss! The Osborne lights are unbelievable! MVMCP will be a great hit with the kids... cookies and cocoa, rides open late with less crowds, special fireworks.

Your parents will probably enjoy the Candlelight Processional more than the kids, but they'll like it too. We've been there three times - James Avery, Brian Dennehy and Marlee Matlin. Brian Dennehy was OK, but James Avery was awesome because he looked like he was having more fun than anyone in the audience. He seemed so happy to be a part of the whole thing, and it was really reflected in his readings. Marlee Matlin was incredible too.
