Hi All

Hope everyone's okay! :sunny:

I just have to tell everyone my good news  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc - DBF and I are off to WDW AKL in just 2 weeks time, but I have 2 younger sisters DSis14 :earsgirl: and DSis11 :earsgirl: , who have been complaining ever since I booked the holiday back in July 04, that they haven't been to WDW in such a long time and that they want to go again! ::MickeyMo They don't take after me honest!

Anyway, having had a very quiet word with my mum she has agreed that I can take them in December :cool1: but we are keeping it a secret and saying that mum can't afford it!! We aren't going to tell them till either the week or the weekend before they go! :goodvibes Now I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut :rolleyes1 :p

So if anyone can tell me what it is likely to be like 12th December to 19th December - crowds, weather, do they still do the fireworks? etc :confused3

And any info on the WDW Wilderness Lodge would be greatly received!! :listen: Now all I need to do is start searching (again!) for the cheapest Disney Tickets that I can find over here in the UK!!! :cloud9:

We stayed at the WL from Dec 5-11 of this past year. It was )as you can see in my sig) the best trip ever. Dec temperature can change dramatically but while we were there it was in the 80s every day. A great change from our snowy NY winter. The crowds were near nothing - only time we experienced then were on MVMCP (one that wasn't sole out too)

You will have a great time. Enjoy it. It is probably the best time to go.

We did our first December trip last year and it was wonderful!!!! We were there a bit later than you will be, December 16 - 21. The first 3 days it was quiet with no waits at most popular rides. I remember walking up to RNR at noon and there was no one there, not one person in line...The weather was pretty good for us, too, mostly around 70 with sun and clouds. One day it was pretty cold all day, but the sun was out and that helped. We lucked out and had no rain, yeah!!! We also stayed at the WL and it was the perfect place for us during the holiday season. The resort had beautiful decorations, especially the lobby. You will have a wonderful time!!! :goodvibes

Just back from WL and had a great time there! We loved the lodge. Really fantastic views. Also relaxing. The rooms were small and o.k. We ate at The Whispering Canyon twice for dinner. It was alot of fun for our kids. The pool was good and they had a fun slide too.

We had no problems with transportation. The boats were really fast (except for 1 night when one was out of service) you can also hop onto a smaller boat to contemporary and grab the monorail. Busses were usually pretty fast too. I liked having all those transportation options.

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions!
