December Sailing

What is the weather like in December? Is the water cold? I'm trying to talk my husband into going on the 2006 10 day with NO kids and he's comlaining that it will be too cold. What is everyone's opinion on this? Thanks for the help!!!!!!

It's really not that cold in December, I don't think. We go during the first week in December most every year. In the Caribbean, it's usually in the 80s and the water is great. We usually spend a lot of time in the ocean at St. Maarten and St. Thomas and leave the water because we're tired more than cold. Castaway Cay can be a bit cooler, but you can still swim. A few years ago it poured rain for a little while on Castaway Cay and it was actually a good thing, since it was so hot and muggy. The storm cleared the air out.
