December roll call

Tigger, I'll pass on a tip that a CM gave me when I was planning our first trip two years ago. He told me to keep my camera ready as we walked into the park, and capture DS' expression as he saw the castle and other wonderful sights!

I thought this was such a neat idea, but it didn't quite work out for me. I was giddy with excitement, had my camera ready, was looking at all the shops along Main Street, and finally spied the castle. I whipped the camera around onto DS(then 6yo) and gasped, "Oh my gosh, look at that beautiful castle!" :lovestruc

He looked up at me with a puzzled expression and said, "Castle? What castle?"

I pointed down the street and gushed, "There! There behind the statue and the trees! See?"

"No... Oh... Is that a castle?"

I gave up, but I keep hoping someone else will have better luck! :rotfl:

Thats a great idea, will definately try that!

:rotfl: your son made me laugh, sounds like something mine would do...he's miss the giant castle and notice a teeny duck or something :lmao:

Another UT group here! Our dates are 12/8~12/11. My mom & grandma are coming with us!

Staying @ HOJO's, flying SLC to LGB.

I'm so excited to see DLR during the C~mas season!

Lots of Utah Groups! We are getting really excited! DH hates the spending part so I try to have it all paid for before we leave so he doesn't have to keep spending while we are there (especially right before Christmas)

Yep ~ I've already purchased several Disney gift cards & vouchers for DD & I to have dinner with the princesses. I'm hoping to only have to pay for our hotel + our transportation from LGB to HoJo's & back to LGB when we're there.

We are staying in Anaheim 12/18 to 1/3 and will be in & out of Disneyland to our hearts content... can't wait!!

:thumbsup2

Alyson

We will be going 12/9-12/16. DH has a conference at the Sheraton Anaheim. We are from PA and are very excited to go to the West Coast! It will be our first trip to DL. We have been to WDW several times and can't wait to see the original!!

We are going December 20 when my dance team marches in the parade with our marching band.

I know this is the WAYYYY busiest time to go but that's when we go.

We are going down the night before and staying at Carousel Inn. The band and dancers will bus down the day of.

We are flying in the evening of December 19th (my birthday) and leave on December 23rd. Our DD's DBF is going to propose to her down there and both families will be down to share in the joy and excitement. It's a surprise, but I think she suspects that's when and where her proposal will take place...at least she's hoping!! :cloud9:

ooo i think we're going in december! :goodvibes it'll just be for a day or so, b/c we're going in about a week to DL for a few days, and we're going for a whole week in feb for my sons bday. ive never seen DL during x-mas, so probably the first week of dec we'll go!! is that a good time to go? or would mid-dec be better??

12/10-12/14 We are driving from Vegas and staying at the GCH.

I love holidays at DL ! OMG I can't wait !!! :rotfl:

My dh & I will be there after Thanksgiving Weekend until the 6th of December as an add-on to visit the folks down in HB. We'll be at GCH. Can't wait to hear the holiday music there. :santa:

Last year, we stayed at DLH & loved their instrumental holiday music that was always running in the background. Tried to buy it but it wasn't available. Maybe this year. :wizard:

We are going to DLR December 7-12 staying at the GCH. I am leading a photopass share group on the Disboards budget travel group #13.

Chris

We will be at the DLH the same days! I would love to join but can't seem to find the right thread, would you mind posting a link to it please?

We will be there from December 21-28th. I know it will be crazy but my sister and I always wanted to wake up Christmas morning in Disney!! :santa: My family, my sister and her family and our parents are all going together. It is a first time for all of us. Since I live in FL we have been to WDW numerous times but wanted to see the original. Not many Christmas visitors on the thread.

We will fly in on Dec. 3rd, check into the Grand Californian, and stay until Dec. 6th.

My daughter's 12th birthday will be spent there! I can't wait.

We had such a great trip last December, that I couldn't wait to do it all over again. There is something so special about visiting the park at Christmas time.

I also can't wait to see the re-opening of "It's a Small World". I want to see what changes and upgrades they have made, and see it all lit up at night again.

Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!! (you know.......the "Kool-Aid" guy)

Our ohana (family) will be partyin'-it-up during the holidays @ Disneyland from December 22 to January 2.:woohoo: This is our first holiday season there. I read that "IT IS SOMETHING TO SEE"! Can't wait. Our 4 year old son keeps asking to see GOOFY.

Have you been to DL before at Christmas? We will be there over the holidays too. Looking for crowd survival tips!

Nope. This is our first Christmas trip to Disneyland. We just went in beginning of June, so the crowds weren't that bad. Although by the time we left, the summer crowd started to roll-in. I would think that during Christmas time it will be just as crowded as summer.

Here is a little tip: Disneyland seems to be the least crowded first thing in the morning. The park does get crowded just about after lunch. I guess there's not a lot of morning-people willing to get on the rides that early, which is great for the early-morning risers (like us).
