DECEMBER... prime time for teens to lose virginity !!

  • Thread starter Thread starter EROS
  • Start date Start date
wont say how old i was... but Feburary 19th.

hehe, for me it hasn't happened yet. I do believe many couples get really close during the winter season- half the people I know it seems have October birthdays!

I read this and decided not to let 16 yo DD be alone with her boyfriend this month. She read the article in the Baltimore paper yesterday.

End of May, and no, it was NOT under a picnic table!!!!! ;)

In a car and I was 17. My father hated him and about 20 years later, my father proudly sent me a newspaper clipping that said he (the boyfriend) had been arrested for INDECENT EXPOSURE!

I guess my father was right...

Now married to my husband (not the boyfriend) for 21 years!;)

:o Oh my, I lost it in July!

I was a tad under 17 and it was in my boyfriend's bedroom while his parents were at work.

preshi lost it on my birthday! :D Sad to say, but I really don't remember - I think it was July. With a real jerk. Definitely not one of my finer hours. I hope my DD is smarter than me. And I'll be watching her pretty closely until January. ;)

May 23-3 days past my 17th birthday! My birthday party HIS parents were throwing me!...

yah..i got something i never had before..and always wanted:D

For our DIS teens that responded, good for you!!!

I'm not sure how this thread evolved into a "true confession" one :) but I think the warning is good to keep your teens busy with family activities this holiday season. :)

I was 15, he was a jerk, and it is one of the biggest regrets of my life, I started crying afterwards. Teens, PLEASE be smarter than I was. :(

I understand why all of the parents are nervous about teens losing their virginity so early..why don't you just talk to them about it? Talking goes a long way. If you are truly worried that your teen may be sexually active talk to them about safe sex and even if they aren't sexually active still talk to them about safe sex. The country and the media are just now focusing on teens and sex and the scary statistics that go along with it. A lot of high schools don't have sex ed courses that teach about protection and what happens if you don't have protection. The information you should come from you, someone they trust. Don't scare them but make sure they understand the risks.
I think that some teens are under-educated and because of them and their risky behavior all teens get a bad rep for losing their virginity so young.

Yeah that was my vent

If you want more information to talk to your teen or your just interested in this MTV has picked this topic as their Fight For Your Rights topic this year and this website has a bunch of important information for you and your teen.

I promise I'm done now and stepping off the soapbox.

Bravo, Norah!! Your Mom must be really proud of you and should be proud of herself for raising such a great daughter! :)
