December Park Hours/CM Christmas Parties

Does anyone have any idea what the park hours will be for December 1/09? It's a Tuesday. Also, has there been any talk of what days the CM Christmas parties will be? We were there 2 years ago and fell on one of the days when DL closed early. It wasn't a big deal as we went to DCA. We are coming to DL after a weekend in Las Vegas and am trying to decide if we will pay for a 2 day pass and enter the parks around supper time on Monday or just do one whirlwind day on Tuesday. I think it will depend on how long the park is scheduled to be open on the 1st. Any ideas? Thanks!

Word is right now that the CM parties will be December 7th and 8th. Monday and Tuesday. The CM parties are usually the Monday and Tuesday following the weekend of the Candlelight Processional.

Thanks! So, is Candelight Processional the 5th and 6th then? I guess I haven't seen those dates yet either.

Hi Deanna,
Well, it's not written in stone yet, but pretty logical. I was talking to a long term CM last week and I asked her if she knew FOR SURE when the CM parties were. She said "No, no official word", but she felt certain it was Dec 7/8. It's always the first Mon/Tue one full week after Thanksgiving weekend. I would be shocked if it were different dates.

Will this make the parks crowded? Should we avoid those days ?

What we found 2 years ago, that California Adventure got really crowded once Disneyland closed early for the night. When earlier in the day we hadn't had any trouble getting on TOT (for example), there got to be a huge wait for it that night because everyone came over from DL. I am hoping to avoid the CM party night just because we are only coming for one day and I want DL open as long as possible! Thanks everybody for their help!

For our Dec. visit last year days 1 & 2 were CM party nights ~ I didn't mind at all, loved the early fireworks (5:45pm) ~ IMO CA was not crowded in the evenings, crowds weren't a problem at any time actually. We plan to visit the same time this year (after a weekend cruise).
