December - help!

Right now we're looking at December 7-15th for our trip this year. Can anyone tell me about this time, crowd-wise? We want to avoid the Candlelight Processional and the CM parties, and are hoping for light(er) crowds - at least as compared to other days around this time of year (Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, etc). What do you think?

Our other option is November 12-20th...that way we skip Veteran's Day crowds, and get out just before Thanksgiving. Are crowds likely to increase on the 18, 19, 20th, though? We were there around this time last year, but left on the 17th, so I don't know what happens crowd-wise on that last weekend before Thanksgiving.

We've been going around in circles on this one for a while now, as we have the flexibility to go either time. When would you go?

I would go with Novemeber, much less crowds and you still get the holiday spirit.

I'd also pick November. We have gone in December a lot and while it used to be a quiet time, it has become quite crowded in recent years. This year we went in January to miss the crowds (and were pleased), and we are going to go again in Nov. to experience the holiday decorations but hopefully avoid the worst of the crowds.

It depends on what you expect from your vacation. The Nov dates will surely be less crowded, but the Dec timeframe would be more magical. What I mean by that is that it is very close to Christmas and will feel like a "Christmas trip". Nov will be like a "Thanksgiving trip". I think you will have a great time no matter what, but that's my two cents.

I always love those first couple weeks of December! The disadvantage to the November dates would be closures of some rides--I'd check that out before making your decision. Also look to see if the Christmas parade and "snow" are happening, because those are so worth it!!!
