December GV at 7 Mo - any chance

We are planning on Dec 18-25 for 10 of us. We will book 2 Br and Studio at WLV at 11 month. Is there any chance to get a GV (OKW or elsewhere) at the 7 mo window?

We have 6 adults so we would like a little more room.

I've asked that too before and the consensus is the chances are slim to none.

However, you won't know until you try and I can tell you I have seen 2 people on this board post that they got one by doing the waitlist.

You will have to waitlist for at least some of your days. The recommended way for something like this is to waitlist day-by-day so that you can get the days each as they become available.

The downside to that is you may not get all the days and you may get some on each end of your trip meaning you might move more than once.

Only you can decide if that would be okay with you, the possibility of moving.

So call MS at the 7 month window and get however many days you can get and waitlist day-by-day for the rest if you think you can live with that plan.

I forgot to add that this year there may be a better chance if you really are open to location because SSR will be open but not sold out (points not sold out I mean) and there are GVs at SSR.

So you might have a better chance this year than people have had in the past.

VWL is well known for it's holiday decorations. I would see if someone who owns at OKW. BWV or SS wants to trade points with you. Act quickly, that is a prime time and you are reaching the 11 monrh window.
