December @ DL

Hi,

I'm starting to think about our x-mas trip to DL. I want to try and get there before the parks get packed. I also want to make sure that the x-mas changes to small world have been completed.

Is the second week of Dec a "safe" time to shoot for?


and has anyone heard of any type of celebration @ all for halloween?

Second week of Dec is a great time to go. DL doesn't do MNSSHP or anything like that. We have the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay that runs from October through the Christmas season, and there are some events that go with that in very early Oct or the very end of Sept, but those cost a lot extra. I believe they are pin events of some sort (I've never been to one so I don't know for sure). I think they had trick or treating at DTD the last couple of years.

We have beed a few times in the first two weeks of December. The week days are fine and easy to deal with. If they are doing a fireworks holiday show then the parks get busier in the late afternoon and evening. If Fantasmic is showing it is even more busy. Friday nights are busy. Saturday is crazy and the evening (particularly if there is fireworks, snow and Fantasmic) is packed, sometimes to the point that it is hard to move forward in some areas. Sunday morniongs can be mellow but it gets busy again in around noon.
Try to see all the night time events on a week night and then enjoy DCA on Saturday night.

SOUNDS LIKE LOTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO. I LOVE THE IDEA OF CATCHING THE NIGHT TIME SHOWS ON THE WEEK DAYS AND DOING DCA ON THE WEEKEND. I CAN'T WAIT. JUST LOVE THAT TIME OF YEAR.
