Well our trip dates were supposed to be Jan 2-7th, but we wound up going dec. 14-19th due to unforseeable circumstances. Due to the change I lost a Cindys ressie, but at the last minute, got a Norway PSB ressie. Here are my reviews for the trip.

Cast: Me 30 years old, DH 37 years old , DD age 2 and DD age 4.

Chef Mickeys dinner on the night of our arrival.
We LOVE this place. It is great for the first night because it is so festive and lively. We had an 8:05pm ressie and we found the food to be fresh and delicious throughout the dinner. The menu included prime rib, roasted chicken, pesto penne pasta and peel and eat shrimp. DH especially enjoyed a seafood medley from the salad section of the buffet that included octopus and scallops. I know everyone raves about the mashed potatoes, but I personally find them too creamy... I like mine a little firm. The food was wonderful and the kids loved the characters. What was also nice was that the characters were in different outfits than last year, so our pictures are unique even though we dined there before.
Overall A

Day 2
Crystal Palace 11:35 am lunch ressie
Another of our favorites. We have dined here on each of our trips since we discovered it on our honeymoon. Since we had one of the first seatings we saw some of the characters before we could even get our food. The place was not crowded and we saw each of the characters at least twice. As for the food, I especially enjoy the mango and shrimp salad they serve and the tomato mozorella salad. My piece of flank steak was dry but DH said his was tender. The salmon was delicious and the mashed potatoes were more to my liking than at Chef Mickeys. The restaurant itself is so pretty and we had a beautiful view from our window seat on the Adventureland side of the restaurant.
Overall... A

since we had a big lunch.... we skipped diner and opted for a snack at the bakery in France. I had the Creme caramel, DH had a chocalate croissant and DD4 had a piece of chocalate cake. Everything was very tastey. The cake and chocalate croissant were delicious. the creme caramel was tastey, but I did not care for the texture to much.
Overall... B +

Day 3
This was a non park day for us. Our first stop was Downtown Disney were I was DYING to try the EARL OF SANDWICH. So, about 11am we stopped for "brunch" type meal. DD's split a ham egg and cheese sandwich, DH had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and I had the Caprese sandwich. I dont like bacon, so I didnt try that sandwich, but DH reported it was good. I sampled the girls ham, egg and cheese and it was delicious. My Caprese was very good. I would suggest to anyone ordereing it to ask for extra dressing though because mine was a little dry. Another great Disney meal!!

Boma 5:10 pm dinner ressie that night. This was "hands down" the absolutely best food we have had anywhere on Disney property. All I can say is WOW!!! The salmon was soooooo good. All the salads were good, the prime rib was good and the desserts were amazing!!! These are the best desserts I have ever tasted!!! The zebra domes live up to the hype. The resort and the restaurant are both beautiful. This is my new favorite restaurant at WDW.
Overal A+++++++

Day 4

Tusker House for lunch
Another of my favorites. I had the salmon, DH had the roasted chicken and the kids split the Mac and Cheese. Everything was very good. IMO, this is the best counter service spot in the parks.
Overall..... A

Snack.. Mickey bar and cookie ice cream sandwich at AK. Now, i am not one to get all excited about ice cream on a stick, but Mickey Bars are exceptional!!! The ice cream sandwich was also very yummy.

Dinner..... we had a ressie for Ohana, but we couldnt do it. We couldnt eat another big meal. Our pants were getting tight and we were beginning to feel like slugs, so we opted to cancel the ressie. I was disappointed, but there will be other trips. Instead we got a pizza from the ASMo foodcourt. It was OK, but nothing great. I give it a C.

Day 5

I called Dining at 7:00am to see if there were any cancellations for either princess breakfasts and to my suprise we could get an 8:30am ressie for PSB in Norway. Wahoo!!! We got ready really quick and headed to Epcot.

PSB/Norway breakfast. The food was very good. I loved the cinnoman rolls and the potatoes. the princesses were great and my two DD's LOVED it!!
I am frugal by nature so the bill seemed veeeeery pricey. I dont think the food was worth it, even though it was good. But the interaction between my daughters and the princesses made up for it.
Overall A

ABC Commissary for dinner (MGM). Steer clear of this place. This was the worst food I have ever had. I cant beleive Disney allows this poor quality of food on their property. The hamburger was so salty and gross, i didnt even eat more than a few bites. The kids meal fish sticks included one over fried greasy wad of dough. I could lose my appetite just thinking about it... Never again!!!
Overall F----

Snack while waiting for Spectromagic in MK .... Turkey leg..... DH really liked it. I didnt... I think the seasoning made it taste like pork. It was huge.... could definetely be a meal.

One other note for those of you who have read this far. The Mickey shaped ice cream bars at ASMo food court are not the same as the Mickey bars in the park. They are a marginally tastey imposter. I should have bought an extra at the park.... can you order them online anywhere????

Well thanks for reading my reviews.... bon appetite on your next trip!!!

Hi there... thanks for the reviews.. we were at Disney the same days you were and it was pretty chilly in the mornings/evenings :D

We were at DTD the same day as you.. that was a gorgeous day, but we had lunch at Capt Jacks...

Boma is one of my favourites too!

hi Cass..... yes it was pretty chilly in the morning and the evenings. Luckily the last 3 days of the trip were warm enough to enjoy the pool at the hotel during the mid afternoon hours. I was a little disappointed because my original trip dates were for this week and the weather seems like it will be so much nicer. Oh well.... it was still alot warmer than it was here!!

but it was very christmassy... don't you think? the cold nights just seemed to 'fit' with the season and MVMCP & we had a carriage ride at WL in the horse sleigh.. it was all perfect and I don't think it would have been as nice if it was warm.

So Boma is your new favorite? did you try the soups?.. I love the ginger carrot.

Thanks for the reviews! I was beginning to fear you were going to turn into a salmon!LOL

I didnt try any of the soups but my husband did and he said they were great.
I really liked the watermelon rind sald though, which was a big surprise to me because it sounds odd. I would have loved it if it was warm..... I hate the cold, even if it is Christmas time.

oh Jennymouse...I guess you are right.... I did eat a lot of salmon!!! :fish:
