I have promised my daughter that we will take her to Orlando for her birthday (Dec. 23rd) next year. We have AP's for WDW & the Universal parks and will be doing both sets of parks.

We will probably fly in on the 19th or 20th and I am thinking we will go ahead and stay through most of the week between Christmas & New Years. I know that the Disney parks will be really bad but what is the attendance like at the Universal parks at that time? We will of course stay onsite at the HRH or RPR for the Universal days and will have FOTL but I would still like to have an idea of what it will be like?

TIA,
Lori

Around the 23rd is when it starts to get very busy. I know the only way to do it would be by staying onsite. I have done it the last 2 years that way. Even with the FOTL access, some of the waits are around 30 minutes during the afternoon....but that is much better than 90-120 minutes! Most of the rides averaged 20 minutes. There were times that we opted to do singles instead of using our room key, it was faster. I am waiting to see what AP rates come out for this year & I will be making my ressies again. Last year I lucked out, got the deal where I paid AP rate, stayed 4 nights & the 4th was free...also they threw in free parking at the hotel as well.
