December crowds?

We are planning to go this year, in December. Any thoughts on which weeks would be LESS crowded - November 29-December 5 OR
December 6-December12? Both fit in with our schedules, just like a little more room for a couple oldsters to meander...Love our Disney!!!

We went 12-6 to 12-14, 2008 and got stuck during Pop Warner football week. It was not horribly crowded, but much moreso than it normally would be 1st week of December. I already looked it up, Pop Warner 2009 starts Saturday December 5th. Definitely choose to go December 12th week instead. Good Luck!

thanks so much! We've already done the years of children, then grandchildren, now just my dh and I are choosing the rides WE want, and the places We want to eat. Don't think we ever outgrow Disney, just change the pace and scenery. Appreciate your answering so quickly.

We have been 6 times during POP week which is the 2nd week of Dec and it has been great...never an issue...we went this past Dec the week before christmas week and it was fine too...I think POP week is a little less crowded and should be your week of choice...

For the record we are planning the week before Thanksgiving week this year as Dec has gotten way too crowded for our tastes...gonna try something different...10 years ago in early Dec there was never a wait over 20 minutes the last 2 or 3 years we have seen those same waits grow to 45 minutes...not every ride but the popular rides...Still not bad with FP and in the grand scheme of things...You should have a great time

Why do I think you are the best??? I don't know what you consider a 'senior' but we are hoping to continue to go to Disney until we just can't manage our wheelchairs any longer! We have not yet been graced with grandchildren, but we hope to enjoy WDW with them, too. Then, in our golden years, just enjoy the shows and entertainment we didn't stop for when we were younger. Anyway, about your decision which week to go. We were there Dec 5 - 11, 2008 and didn't find Pop Warner, Cheer Leaders, the crowds or the weather to be a factor. We had a great time and rode everything we wanted to with very little wait. Either week, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!
