December crowds in DC & SW

Has anyone been to DC or SW this month that can give me a clue as to how the crowds are? We're leaving this Saturday.

I just went this past weekend and I would say it was pretty packed. I went on november 25 , the weekend after thanksgiving, and it was less packed than last sunday.

i went on dec 6th.......LIGHT!!!!

We were at DC on Dec. 29 and although the Park was at capacity (temp. was 85 that day ), it did not seem crowded.
