December Car Rentals? Anyone got a good price yet?

I made an Alamo ressie a long time ago for a minivan Dec 9-16 with a Walmart code, d24c coupon and BY rate code. Total is $262.

Anyone gottena better December rate yet? I know it's early.

Dec 17-28 from the Hertz on Irlo Bronson (just outside WDW). Chevy Classic (or similar) - $266 total. Of course I booked it in March

I don't think you'll find a better rate for your minivan.

I have a fullsize booked through National for December 16 - 23 using the American Express code and a coupon for a two car upgrade and it is pricing at $190.33. I really hope these rates go down!

I used the walmart code and d24c coupon back in May for a convertible and paid $120 for the week, the mid-size SUV using those codes was $94 for a week. December's rates are really high compared to what we normally find!

I got a mid-size from Thrifty, Dec6-11, using code and coupon from Sams Club, for $129 including taxes and fees. That's a weekly rate with no extra days (a lot of companies will now give you the weekly rate for a 6-day rental, which is cheaper than 6 days at the daily rate).

I hope that I will be able to get a comparable rate at one of the on-airport companies between now and then, but if I don't, I'll stick with Thrifty and be perfectly happy.

I just did it for a minivan and it was $254 for your dates. So not much of a difference for what you have.

I just booked an Avis economy on the Southwest webite for $255 all fees included for Dec 16-22, using a mousesavers code. It was $20 cheaper than the Avis website. I usually do Emerald Aisle, but when I tried all the codes at National it was still over $400!

Maybe all the good codes will get extended past Dec 14!

Yes, it is MCO. I booked it through the southwest website, and used code K199060, which at the Avis site gave me a base rate of $221, but I don't think changed the Southwest base rate of $202.

I just used this code too the base rate is down to $207. per week, that is the best I have seen in a while! (This is for a Mini Van)
