December booking at the Poly

I keep reading that December is really hard to get at any DVC resort. For those of you have the Poly as your home resort, are you able to find availabity in December at 8:00 am at 11 mos. exactly?

11 months out isn't an issue. There are more than 300 studios and this isn't a resort with a lot of walkers.

Waiting around or hoping for 7 months is much more an issue.

Availability at 11 months exactly is not a problem. Lake View will be gone within a week though, (minus the occassional odd night here or there). Standard view generally isn't a problem for nearly all of the priority window, although it gets harder as you get closer to the 7 month point. At 7 months + 10 min, you're pretty much out of luck. Although a have been successful at piecing together a 9 day trip using a combination of single day waitlists and stalking. But it was a lot of work, and certainly not guaranteed.

As mentioned, there are 360 Poly studios: 288 Standard and 72 Lake View.

It shouldn't be, no. Summer isn't a peak time for DVC like December is.
