december availability

Hi Everyone!
My brother and his family are interested in using our DVC this year and were originally going in January. They are now interested in early December (sometime in the first 2 weeks) and want a 2 bedroom. Does anyone know if there is availability at any resort during that time? First preference is Old Key West. Thanks for your help!

That is an extremely popular time for DVC'ers but you never know when a cancellation will become available. The more options you can give in terms of size of room and resort, the better your chance of booking something without having to go on the waitlist.

If you are talking 2006, it will probably be tough. I'd advise that they accept availability at any of the WDW DVC resorts, though OKW and SSR will probably be the best shot.

I called today to check availability, and they were closed for a special event. Strange!

There has been a waiting list for early Dec for sometime now and even more so for the 2bdrm villas. YOu can always check with MS to see how long the wait lists are, but I would not hold out much hope.

I booked at 2dbrm at VWL for the 1st week of Dec just b/4 the 7 month window opened up and from what I understand it was the last one available at that time.

I have a studio the first week of Dec, but am waitlisted for either a 1 BR or a 2BR at any resort. I don't expect you'll get anything, but it can't hurt to get on that waitlist with me! Good luck!
