December A&E/SDMT FP Cancellation Thread- READ 1st POST

For those of you subscribed to this thread there seems to be a glitch or something with the app allowing lots of a&e availability.... In two Minute chunks. I took advantage! Hope this pixie dust sticks! Proceed with caution .

Thanks for this post. Not sure about glitch. Just changed FP+ for 12/19 party night on MDE, 5:30-6:30. Yes!

EDIT: Looks like they were added for the entire week. I saw them for 12/26 & 12/27 too.

Oh thanks for the heads up. I changed mine to a proper window. The two minutes was a little close for comfort.

Well, don't you have 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after a FP? So more like a 22 minute window?

With the magic bands it is only 5 min before and 5 min after. And that isn't guaranteed. I was told by several CMs that some do it but not all and it isn't a guarantee.

GONE I have 4 fastpasses for A&E 12/16 from 11:10-12:10. Looking to trade for 4 7DMT on 12/16 for any time between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. You will have to PM me with a way to contact you since I cant PM yet.

I just switched out my 2 minute windows for normal 60 minute windows! What's strange is that the same selections weren't showing up for my two parties of two. I had to do several switching outs/arounds, but now we have two groups of two, with a 50 minute overlap, right after CRT. WOOT!

Now that I feel secure in my December 14th FP+, I'm willing to release my December 20th FP+ for A&E. I have 3 FP+ from 11:30-12:30 and 1 from 11:40-12:40 on December 20th. Let me know if you'd like to try to pick this up when I drop it.

2 A&E from 3:10-4:10pm 12/19
1 A&E from 3:30-4:30pm 12/19
2 A&E from 3:40-4:40pm 12/19
1 A&E from 3:50-4:50pm 12/19

6 A&E from 8:30-9:30 pm 12/21

I was able to get 1 hour windows on 12/8 and 12/10 for 6. We are flying in on 12/8 and doing the party so if we get there by 5:30PM (Our flight lands at 1:45PM) I will drop the 12/10 passes.

Just got an email that my FP+ with the two minute window was not available... so they changed it to the exact hour block that I had hoped they would! Major pixie dust!!

I just received the same email. It seems that they're switching the 2 minute windows to one hour slots. I just hope that this wasn't a glitch that they're fixing and now the FP lines are going to be loooong.

I'm SUPER curious now as to what happened. Did they hold back a bunch of bookings til later so that it was more "fair" for people wanting to see A&E and couldn't get FPs 60 days out? Doubt it. Did they add a second A&E to accommodate more people? Doubt that too. Did they look at the bookings for that week and realize they could take more FPs? Maybe. I guess on a random Tuesday in November they wouldn't expect a ton of people to be searching for FPs... would they?

I hope everything works out and it doesn't end up being an over-booking of FPs. It seems too good to be true but at the same time it's so exciting! Guess we should keep an eye on how the experiences go this week and next. I grabbed 3 A&E passes for our trip on 12/17 so fingers crossed things go well

I'm worried that they somehow got overbooked too. Happy I was able to move mine to an earlier time, but not if it means the FP wait will be as bad as the current standby one! Will definitely be interested to see how things go over the next few weeks with all the extra FPs in the system.

I started it thinking about this too. The odd thing is I couldn't book A&E at midnight for any of my days during the trip, and I started on my next to last day and worked my way back. I logged when the booking window opened. So it may have been they held some back, or maybe its some combination of the above.
