December 9th (2010), 3 nights Bahamas (Wonder)

My 2 bestest friends and myself will be joining you all on the Cruise:dance3:!! This will be our first cruise. I am scouring the boards for all info I can get on the cruise to make it the most magical and memorable trip. My best friend Suzanne (she is a DIS'r also) and I are 'veteran' Disney goers. However, this will be our 1st cruise ... and our other friend Barb - this will be her first trip to WDW AND the cruise....we are so excited.

I'm thinking this idea with the Fish Hanger is really cool (isit just for kids??) ... and maybe a meet up. We are 'childless' this trip (no grandkids for Suzanne):woohoo:.

Guess I'm going to have to get busy and make some magnets for our door and a fish hanger :) I do like the 'secret santa' idea.

Plese get me your information for the Fish Extender List. Any celebrations this cruise?

I think anyone who wants to do it can, young or old!!!

So what are we going to name our group?

I'll gladly organize the fish extenders :fish:, but have no idea how to go about doing it. We've been on many cruises, but never done the fish extenders.

I'm ordering one on e-bay now!

Meri

I have a list startedl Please get me your information. I am going to PM out a complete list the first week of November to allow time for shopping. You are going to LOVE Fish Extenders. We do this every cruise. THis time I am on back to back cruises with the Podcast cruise. We ordered a new FE this time one for Christmas.

Myself, my husband, and our children 10, and 7 are very excited to go to Disney and then join this cruise:cheer2:!!!!!
We want to do the 'Fish Extender" and want to find another family who wants to do it with us, where do we find info/get connected????? :grouphug:
Also we want to have hair braided in Bahamas or Castaway any recommendations???
Count down is on :woohoo:!!!

Mags

Although I have dear friends in Nassau I redcommend you wait to Castaway Cay for hair braiding. They are not pushy and will give you what you want not talk you into more.

Anyone want to make suggestions for a group name. We are less than two months away, Time to get serious about getting ready for fun.

Would anyone let to get together and have a short meet onboard. We have done this in the past and it is a nice way to get to meet each other.

I would like to suggest the Promenade Lounge around 3 just prior to the mustard drill...any takers??

I think I am taking care of this. If anyone else is please let me know so we can compare notes. I am planning on sending our a complete list the first week of November. We need cabin number number of adults, and ages of any children. Please include your screen name and first name in a PM with the information.

Thanks Melissa for taking charge and organizing the FE.
I know we all appreciate it :grouphug:.

:woohoo::yay: So how excited is everyone getting???? I am about beside myself with uncontrollable excitement!! It's so hard to believe we are approaching the cruise time. :yay: :woohoo:

:dance3:

I am going to start making our rooms Fish Extender tomorrow, really really excited about that. Hope it's all working out to be a fun experience for everyone!! As far as the door magnets....working on that. Not reallly sure what to do for that :)

:dance3:

I think the meet in the Promenade Lounge @ 3p would be very nice. I am going to say YES for myself & Suzanne - one of my cabin mates :)

Celebrating our 11th anniversary on the Dec 10th!!

We'll be joining you on this cruise and would love to take part in the fish extenders. This will be our 4th Disney Cruise - love it, love it!

Go to castawayclub website and print the 10/14/2010 Wonder 3-night Navigators. Ours will probably be similar - it's fun to pre-plan and get excited! As for the actual meet at 3, I could come for 5 minutes to say hi! I just have to go to the vista spa raffle at 3:15 just in case 'cause DH won that for me last time! :yay:

For the first timers on our cruise, these are my fav tips that someone gave me on my first cruise!
#1 Bring your own cup - those cups at the bev stand are tiny. DH has a "Boat Drinks" insulated cup he got at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville that stays packed in the "don't forget to take on the cruise" pile. The last cruise, he had at least 25 people that wanted to know where he got that cup! And if you've got more than 2 in your party, pack cardboard drink holders from McDonalds so one person can carry multiple drinks!
#2 Love that cheap over the door shoe holder for the bath - saves so much space!
#3 Pick up your bed to shove your suitcases underneath - saves space again

:woohoo:!

How and where do you sign up for the raffle? Would love to win a spa treatment for our anniversary!!

Just go to Vista Spa anytime after boarding (eat lunch first of course!). They have a sort of Open House where you can get someone to show you around and tour the facility. Enter for the raffle at this time, then go back at 3:15 for the drawing. It is held in the fitness room.

They made DH do a little dance jig through the treadmills to the front to get his prize! :laughing:Priceless!
:dance3:
But of course the camera was in his pocket! He'd only went so I'd have 2 chances. Too funny!

I'm beyond excited for this Crusie. I'll be joining with you all. I'm surprising my mom with this cruise. It will be myself (25) DD (4) and DM (XXX:lmao:) None of us have cruise before so :banana:.

To have access to the Castaway Club you have to have a login .. :( that's okay ... I am looking forward to the adventure of not planning too much in advance for the ship. I'm a pretty good organizer so it shouldn't take too figure it all out :)

I heard a tip ... bring a mulitple plug power cord.

Love the idea about the "bring your own cups" and the cup holders....I will definitely get a few of those to go too. What great ideas .. and so helpful.

You don't need a login....not talking about the member website. I don't have enough posts to post a link, just type castawayclub and put a dotcom after it! :thumbsup2

I've started my tips envelopes!

My next fav tip (no pun intended!) - start throwing one dollar bills into separate envelopes - one for room service/baggage tips, one for tolls, and one for hostess/dining server tips.

Love the room service one - throw that envelope in your top drawer by the door and you always have a $1 tip handy for that wonderful 24 hr room service!

Disney suggests $96 in tips for 2 of us for hostess/servers. I always hate seeing that on my tab at the end, so if you start your cash envelopes now, you won't have that tip bill at the end of the cruise! :teacher:

For fun, I downloaded the Bahamas in my weather app on my BB. 85 degrees today. Castaway Cay, here we come! :cheer2:

Nothing makes my day like sitting on the beach at Serenity Bay! OMG, that sounds like another door magnet!!
