Welcome, we are really excited!!

This is a fun "game" that is like a Secret Santa type idea. A Fish Extender (FE) itself is a pocket panel/bag you hang from the fish shaped hook outside your stateroom. Families that join the FE group hang the Fish Extender outside their cabin and then, as the cruise is underway, participants deliver gifts to the others participating in the group by leaving them as a surprise in the fish extenders. Who doesn't love presents it's a ton of fun, not just for kids.

As far as the gifts...ITS UP TO YOU! There are no strict rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Gifts can be homemade or shop-bought, Disney, non-Disney, totally up to you! You can choose to base the gift on what characters people have specified liking, or something from your home town or something completely different.

You have to give a gift to every cabin that’s participating in your group and in turn every cabin participating will gift (the goofy one), but the choice of who you gift to is up to you. You can either give one gift to each cabin or a gift to each person in the cabin or both. You can do kids gifts or adult gifts…or something for everyone! It is the thought that counts.

A cabin gift for example would be something the WHOLE cabin could use/benefit from. Maybe a photograph frame, beach towels, a first aid kit, a sundae kit, or Laundry bag with detergent. Individual gifts are just that: Something for the men, something for women, and then you break down the kids based on ages.

The best times to deliver are before and after breakfast or around dinner time. Be sure all of your gifts are delivered before dinner on the last night to ensure people can pack in time before disembarking. For us we will deliver to some on the first evening and some on the second.

It is also typical to label the gifts so that the cabins know who they are receiving the gift from.

It is also worth pointing out that you are no longer allowed to give miniature bottles of alcohol as part of an FE gift and the cruise line will confiscate them from you.
