December 7, 2013 - Winter Fantasy Cruise

Icy rain isn't nice. We had some when we were in Montana and it was unpleasant, I much prefer snow.

Spent Sunday night at the hospital with DS. We got home late on Monday afternoon and I had 33 hours without sleep, it was like having jet lag He's fine, they thought he had appendicitis but because he also had pains at the top centre of his tummy as well as in the normal places for the appendix, they ran a whole heap of tests to try and work out what was going on. In the end, he was allowed some food after lunch yesterday and if he could keep it down they said he could go home. Thankfully he did and they did and we went home for sleep The children's ward at the hospital is so noisy! Last time he was admitted he was in an isolation room as a toddler with croup so it was sealed and just us and so nice and quiet

Oh glad he's feeling better!!! Yikes!!! that can be scary!

Oh, we had icy rain saturday night....so we have one vehicle that stays on the driveway....talk about being covered in ice....even the tires were ice covered. crazy, the poor dog is have a time on the deck trying to get in and out....he just slides....

well the sun is shining today, so hopefull the ice will melt.

I'm trying to think of something special to get Sulley for our anniversary. Any help greatly appreciated. He's very into photography, I got him two lenses for Christmas. He's into computers, but that I don't try to get him anything. He doesn't wear jewelry other than his wedding band and a watch.

Thanks. He is better, he's still asleep though, and it's almost 11am! My boy loves his sleep and because it was disrupted (the doctors and nurses always came just after he fell asleep!) he's obviously trying to catch up.

Glad to hear your son is feeling better. My daughter (now all grown up) had an appendicitis when she was 7. Poor thing!

well today is my last day of vacation, have to go back to work tomorrow
time really goes fast when you dont have to work....Heather will be here till Thursday, so I will have to leave work a little early to take her to the airport. I'm already missing them, and they havent left yet. We are having such a gareat visit.

We are going to take Isabella to Disney for her 5th Birthday, which is April of 2014.... so going to start the planning now......I love planning...my daughter, (the smart girl I raised) is letting me plan, as "you know all about it, just let me know"......

Well going to do some shopping today and going out to lunch....

I am glad it wasn't a appendix, did they ever pin point the problem?...Sick little ones always pull on my heart strings.... I hope he continues to get well.
We have been to Children's Mercy several times but the scariest was when my DS was 2 wks in the children's hospital for 9 days with RSV. The week we got home I was rushed to the hospital thought I was having a heart attack instead it was a gallbladder attack. All I could think of is that my husband didn't know how to use the bulb to suction our sons nose out...

Is there a specialized class for photography he would enjoy taking? A day class or a private lesson to teach new tips or give new ideas? Is he into the art of developing? Does he have his own dark room if not do you have a space for him to create one? Is he into digital photography? If he doesn't have a studio maybe creating one if you have a space or area for his hobby.
Is he into landscape photography maybe planning a romantic weekend getaway in an area when there are tons of photo perfect spots, waterfalls, bridges, meadows, fountains, statues, rustic old buildings, historical towns, winery's, playgrounds, trees, etc.. You can plan a romantic picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery....

I dont have any Disney trips planned before the cruise but since our cruise is now "this year".....I dont feel so bad...
