My DD told me the docs were in. I just had a chance to look at them and we got an UPGRADE from Cat 6 to a Cat 4!!!! I am sooooo excited.

We're 0-3 in upgrades, but just being on DCL is good enough for me. The staff does spoil and pamper, so expect to want to re- book on board or in the near future!! We're going to book a 4 day for next August. We already have a 7 day booked for December 2007, but need something to tide us over until then!

Got my Docs!!! I CAN"T WAIT- It was so funny- DH called today and was like, " When do we leave and i said a week and he said oh #$&*! Too funny. Are the pools heated on the ship and at Atlantis? Just wondering. My DD 8 made All-Stars in soccer so we have had practice everynight this week with a possibilty of three games on Saturday- We are in need of a break! What is the latest time to be on the boat- we are always sooo late (DH gets all upset but norally- His Fault We are late)

Thanks for the SW tip, Hanover. I'm too busy to look much now, but it is great to know for the future.

We leave Saturday from BWI, and we'll be starting 4 days at the Polynesian on Sunday.

We were able to get moved to room 7582 which will give us a starboard view.

Can't wait and we'll look for you all at 3PM on the 7th.

You are welcome! Have a safe trip to MCO and enjoy your park days. We have Ohana booked for breakfast on the 11th and can't wait to check out the Poly. I've read so many great things about it. AAA has a good deal for a land/sea vacation we may book for next August and we can stay at the Poly (haven't stayed there yet) or AKL (stayed there and loved it).

I just need to talk or write to someone. I/we just had to put our dog down about an hour ago. She's been sick with heart problems and had fluid around her heart. The vet said there was nothing else he could do for her. So, I went there with my father-in-law and signed off on it. I'm so sad!
I'm picking my DD5 up from school in a little while and I just don't know how to tell her.

Again, I just needed to write it down and hopefully all will go well later today. I too hope everyone has a safe trip to Florida!

I wish I was leaving this weekend. Monday can't get here fast enough! We have the Army/Navy game tomorrow and an all day pack fest on Sunday. We'll have DS9 do his make up work so he doesn't have to bring his back pack along and do it there. DS5 didn't get a single thing!

I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. We have had a beagle for a year and a half and she is definitely a huge part of our family and we love her to pieces. I can't imagine the heartache you are going through. Your DD will need extra TLC and time to grieve. We had to put our dog to sleep when I was 13 and I was so torn up over it I swore I'd never own another pet. It took until a year and a half ago for my dh to persuade me to let the boys have the experience of owning a dog. Fortunately children are very resilient. Do you have pictures of your dog that you could make a rememberance album for her and add some journaling about the dog and her feelings? I made an album of my childhood dog that I still have. In the last few months 2 of my friends have had to put their dogs down that they each had 13 and 11 years. Their children have bounced back, but they are still grieving themselves. One has just recently bought a new puppy. Time is the big factor in making everyone feel better.

When we have had to tell our children about the death of a couple of relatives and even 2 children we knew, we told them we had very sad news and then explained to them that (whoever's name) was very sick and that their bodies stopped working and they died. We have emphasized that they are in a better place, we'll never forget them and that we'll see them again one day. I have read many times to never tell a child that someone/pet went to sleep because some children develop fears of going to sleep.

I really wish you luck and will be thinking of you. Luckily you have a great trip to look forward to.

Again I'm really sorry for your loss.
