DECEMBER 6, 2009 Winter WONDERland sailing!!!

My DH and I were both laid off and we held on for as long as we could, but we had to go ahead and cancel since neither of us have found work yet. I hope everyone has a great time (I know you will!). Say "Hi" to Castaway Cay for me !

I am so sorry you have to cancel. Hope things look up for you soon.

I have a dd who will be 6yrs old when we cruise. I would love to find some other kids who she can play with....

My DD is 6 (will be 7 in January tho) and will be aboard... will also be *living* in the kids club if past DCL cruises are any indicator! :)

Is this your first DCL? or have you gone before?

Hi all, I'm kind of late getting on here. We booked this cruise while still on the ship Dec, of 2007. It's been a long wait, but it is finally getting close. We are so excited. There are 9 of us total, 2 cabins. Me, my sister and 2 nieces, 13 and 15 in a category 3. So excited, never had a suite before, was in cat 4 last time. The other cabin is my best friend, her husband and 3 sons, 9, 11, 13 and they are in cat. 4. We are both on deck 8 a few cabins apart. Looking forward to decorating our door and maybe participating in the FE, if we have enough time to get that together. I'm not very creative. Anyway, thanks for this thread, it is making me get more excited, the more I read.

We are cruising with you!!!!!:cool1::banana::yay::woohoo::dance3:

We can't wait. I have a DS9 who is an only child and looking for a playmate. Girls still have coodies so if there are any boys coming he would :lovestruc to meet up. We are so excited we can't wait.

Hollieplus2, hi read your post and my friend has 3 sons, 9,11, and 13. The 9 year old will be on his own since the other 2 will be hanging out with my nieces. We should definitely try to hook up, I'm sure they would love it.

Hi, we are sailing on the Wonder on December 6th. We are a group of 9 with 2 cabins booked. We really want to do the Comfort Suites to be able to go to Atlantis, but it looks like they will only allow 4 in a room. Any suggestions on how to do this without having to book 3 rooms? Is is possible that if someone else on this sailing has less than 4 and is booking the a room, they might want to save some money by taking in our "stray"? If anyone else has had this problem, I'd appreciate suggestions. I also checked into booking Atlantis directly, but for a room with 5, it was over 500.00. Thanks for your help in advance.

I have read that you can buy individual tickets at Atlantis, in the casino. It's $105/adult, $75/child. I believe they limit the number based on how full the resort is. Personally, I wouldn't think it would be too busy, but I've never been. We are going as a Disney excursion. DW didn't want to chance missing out on our only excursion.

We also have a DS9. He has been writing to clarasunnyside's DS9. Our son will also have my niece (10) to hang out with.

Someone suggested booking the 2 rooms at the comfort inn and booking 1 of the adults on the Disney excursion. I think that is what we will end up doing. It would be great if the kids could all meet up in the kids club. Our last cruise in 2007, the 9 year old was the only one of our group in his particular age group. He went to the club for a little bit, but I think he really wanted to be with the older kids. I'm hoping he'll have more fun and meet more kids his age this time.

Thanks guys, my DS will be happy to know that there will be plenty of boys!!! We have booked a room at the CS Atlantis. We got a rate of $158 w/tax from AAA for the 3 of us. If you have AAA I would look into it. The cheapest I saw online with tax was $197

We're in also for this cruise! It will be our first cruise ever and hope it's worth it! For this one, we decided to leave the boy at home with the grandparents so we can get a chance to be out by ourselves for once. :) I'm thinking if we like it then we book another one sometime and bring him next time. I don't think he'll mind too much as he's not quite 2 yet. But we're going to miss having him around though. He's already been 4 times (once in utero) to WDW, so I think he's slightly ahead of many kids. (Thanks DVC!)

We've been trying to read quite a bit about what to do, and just paid for the cruise. I think next time I'll book ahead so it's not all due at once! :scared1:

I'm trying to read through all the previous posts, and am only about 3 pages in so far, but figured that we're both so excited about the cruise that I'd post this first. See you all on the cruise!

Welcome Aboard!

I think you'll like it. I loved it! If only I could convince DW to cruise without the kids. :)But, the jury's still out on whether she likes cruising enough to go alone.

I stumbled across a link, and as it turns out this cruise is also the WDW Today Reunion Cruise- http://reunion.wdwtoday.com/

:goodvibes

yes this is true. It seems that last year while on the Mouse Fest Cruise, everyone rebooked because we all had such fun and really were looking forward to this Dec cruise. Then, a few months later, it was decided that the Mouse Fest was not going to happen this December. Those of us still going on the cruise were happy when the name of The Reunion Cruise was born.

Cannot wait!!!!

We had no idea about Mousefest or anything like that when we booked. But, we're pretty excited about the upcoming cruise!! We're at just about 60 days!! :woohoo:
