DECEMBER 6, 2009 Winter WONDERland sailing!!!

We did price it out separately. Right now for the package we have it was cheaper to do the land/sea package. My travel agent is going to keep watching for deals that could make it cheaper to separate the booking. We really wanted to stay on a monorail hotel since we are only going to be in WDW for 3 nights. :)

congrats! i have yet to find a "good" TA...i had to call the last one i used for land pkg & tell her about a code:confused:

funny, we had the poly booked for a week years ago (my 'dream' resort). I was stressing re the $s and while trying to find a lower rate discovered this site & the concept of DVC/resale...long story short, we cancelled the Poly, bought our 1st DVC resale & lived happily ever after...except for still wanting to stay @ the Poly:laughing: Enjoy!

we'll be @ WL, yet im going to do my best to grab Bay Lake afterward...CR MK view has been our only time @ resort on monorail...nothing like that convenience imo

I have been trying to talk my husband into DVC but, he wont go for it. I figure since we go to Disney every year it would be worth it. I will keep trying.. :goodvibes

we did this Oct, it was such a savings from the DCL excursion

orginally booked a AAA rate, then switched to Sams club...LPGA rate (anybody can join free) produced a sim rate...somewhere in the area of $180 for the 3 of us. We picked up van transport @ dock to hotel, then a longish walk thru Atlantis to get the wristbands & towels. Take note, there is really ALOT of walking here, everthing is spread out. The lazy river is on entirely opposite side of resort. We plan on doing it again, well worth the money. Weather was horrid, beach closed; still great fun

Do you remember if the pools are heated at Atlantis? My family gets cold easily and we would hate to get there and not have them swim and slide.

By the way, welcome aboard!:)

Hello All. We're booked as well! I have been on 4 DCL cruises before, but this will be my DH first! It's just the two of us and I cannot wait!

Hi Jason I did some research and I don't think the pools are heated.

Clara,

Thanks for looking into it. I am now confused too. Someone on another thread thinks they are. :confused3 I can't find anything about it at all! I might have to go right to the source.

Even though they haven't written for a while, Trevor is anxious to meet Anil. I will try to have him send an email sometime this week.

I'm glad I found this thread. We already booked for it, this would be my first time. Hopefully we will enjoy it with my kids. :)

Have a nice day everyone. :)

I am so happy today I received a 40% off pin code on my resort stay. We were able to rebook our land/sea separately add dining and still save over $500. :yay: Can't wait to stay at the poly!!!!

Nice thread! My best friend Terry and I booked this cruise while we were on the Mousefest cruise last year. We had so much fun. Everyday we go to lunch and plan our trips.

On the ship we did a lot of spa time. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We did the dolphin encounter as a shore excursion. Loved it!!!!:goodvibes

We did parasailing with Deb Wills and her crew. Loved it.:goodvibes :goodvibes

We did Palo brunch. We're going to try for brunch and dinner.:goodvibes

The only thing I wished we had done was more shows. We missed all of the shows except for Disney Dreams, which was awesome. :goodvibes

:welcome: Welcome, Steffy! I added you to the cruiser list (your own listing) with the same details as Terry's listing. If you'd like to add any info, please let me know. :)

imo, no they were not

it was maybe 70 degrees & overcast, windy, rough surf beach closed, still we were fine in lazy river & on slides...most of the pools were deserted;)

can't wait to go back & do over:banana:

Thanks for the response. Someone else on another thread said they were. So, I ended up calling Atlantis yesterday. Turns out they're not heated. Hope they're not too chilly. We're looking forward to going too.

Thanks Shari. We are going to participate in the fish extender exchange. Also, we are doing second seating. We did first seating last time. This time second seating. The website looks great! Thanks for putting it all together.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I see you got your answer. Yes Anil also is looking forward to meeting Trevor he talks about him all the time and what they will be doing on the ship together. I keep reminding him that we are only on there for 4 days :)

Will talk soon

sorrry guys have to vent. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of the snow. When will it stop.

My younger son said to me today " I quit winter" and I say " ME TOO" :upsidedow

Ah . . no snow here in sunny FL, but we've had a cool spell. Tomorrow's high should be about 54, wind gusts to possibly 40 mph, and tomorrow night . . down to 28 degrees here in the Daytona Beach area.

Personally, I'm lovin' it, but that's because I still remember SUMMER heat and humidity! :scared:

When I head to Idaho in March for 5 weeks, the temps should be nice and comfy (cool enough) for me! :goodvibes

we were stuck @ zero most of last week:rolleyes: , have 6 inches of snow on the ground; i've been homebound until today...had surgery on toe last week...even so nasty out, felt great to get out of the house:drive:

come on spring!

ps GO STEELERS:cheer2:

Jason - did u price out the day when u were on the phone w/Atlantis by chance? never did see a travelzoo special for my date last Oct, so i just kept the ressie @ the Choice Suites (going from memory about $180 for the 3 of us); last time i looked it was almost $250...still way lower priced than the excursion

im having a sr moment? what day r we in Nassau - Monday 12/7, right? followed by CC, then sea?...brain freeze i guess, have only been on 3 day ones before & not sure of the sea day

Now they are saying down to 27 for tonight and 26 for tomorrow night in my area. BUT the daytime highs are just over 50, with lots of wind. In a few days it should be back up to 70!

Even when it gets dreadfully cold here, it's still nothing like the winters of the northeast. Northwest winters I love. Northeast - I can only imagine and be glad I'm not there. But winter will be over before long. ;)
